I was an Air Force linguist from 2005 to 2009. During my time at the DLI, I regularly tutored people. In 2010 I began teaching professionally in and around Chicago. In 2012 I became interested in the concepts of fractal geometry and began to relate it to language learning. Over the years, my students have included the FBI, Navy, hospitality, medical, and manufacturing companies.

Ensino inglês para falantes de português e sempre estudei sobre métodos e técnicas de aprendizado de idiomas, as quais aplico no meu próprio estudo de inglês e japonês. Por isso, gostaria de compartilhar com alunos do mundo todo tais técnicas, aplicadas ao estudo do português. Acredito que ensinar é aprender e desde que comecei a lecionar, meu desenvolvimento deu um salto incrível. Quero poder transmitir isso como forma de agradecimento, por meio da minha língua materna, para estudantes do mundo todo.

I teach Portuguese and English. Portuguese with Brazilian accent and English with neutral emphasis due to having had contact with people of the most diverse places.

I'm very enthusiastic when the topic is learning a language. My focus as a teacher will be to enhance conversation skills and assist the student with grammar, structure sentence, pronunciation, oral fluency and vocabulary. I'm aiming to enable students to communicate with confidence. The level of confidence that can only be achieved with accumulated conversation time. I'm keen to teach Brazilian Portuguese to any nationality of student, where Portuguese may be the only language of communication.

I have taught students of all ages from different countries - Costa Rica, Spain, Italy, Germany, China, The US, and so on. I also teach Brazilian people to develop their skills and write essays to be accepted in universities. I love my job because I can help people to "evolve" (yes, like Pokémons), to get the abilities they want or need to get a job, a girl/boyfriend, to study in a foreign country, etc. I really love what I do.

Through the last 10 years I've been improving myself as a teacher and as an English speaker as well (even why we never stop learning). I'm a very patient person who loves to see my student's growth.

Meu objetivo como professor é que você de fato aprenda a falar japonês. Então, eu sempre estou desenvolvendo a minha maneira de dar a aula, me adaptando a cada um dos alunos, tentando encontrar a melhor maneira de passar o conteúdo para a sua realidade. Gosto conversar de variados assuntos, e conduzo as aulas de maneira divertida!

Minhas experiências são voltadas para o ensino da língua de forma online como tutora de língua portuguesa com pessoas de outros países que tenham real interesse e curiosidade em aprender mais sobre o Português Brasileiro. I've always helped my friends who chose to learn Portuguese with their spelling, grammar, pronunciation, idiomatic expressions and other issues they might have. Besides that, I've been teaching Spanish to Brazilians for a year and a half now, and I've recently started teaching Portuguese to foreigners. I love learning and teaching languages and I see it as a way to improve myself and getting to know new people. I truly believe that learning a language can change someone's life and I'm here to help other people do so.

Any learning process must be adapted to the student, so even before our class begins, I like to know your goals, level and interests so as our conversation starts at the right pace, since the first second.

I know how hard it is to learn a new language, I learned Spanish 6 years ago and I'm study English and Italian, a love languages and I know, it is not easy to learn, but, it is amazing. So, I know that a student needs to learn.
