I have lived in several foreign countries so I understand the difficulties in facing the study a new language. I have a lot of patience and I try to create a fun atmosphere so that the lesson becomes profitable and easy. I like to involve students and bring them to learn about Italian culture and traditions especially the gastronomic ones Ho vissuto in diversi paesi stranieri per cui capisco le difficoltà ad affrontare lo studio di una nuova lingua. Ho molta pazienza e cerco di creare un'atmosfera divertente in modo che la lezione risulti proficua e leggera. Being a teacher for me means to transmit energy, passion and motivation to learn a new language. For me every lesson is my personal promise to give my best attitude and knowledge to every single student. Throughout years of study I tested on my own skin various approaches to language learning and I know clearly what works and what does not. All this helped me develop natural and very communicative approach to teaching. I love to share my enthusiasm with my students and I always try to help my students put in practice everything what they learn!

In addition to having CAE (Cambridge Advanced English) and TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) certificates, I have been teaching English and Italian online since 2017 and have gained a great deal of experience. Moreover, I have experience teaching English here in Sicily privately and from time to time I work as a translator. I have taught for many years Italian in secondary schools and I have experience of teaching to groups of foreign students (both teenagers and adults). Trough all theese activities I have organized the course material that includes various topics and is divided into different levels of difficulty.

I love teaching and I will keep on doing this job no matter what happens in the future. I like reasearching about a constant improvement of learning process methods. I want to make sure that my students have actually achieved precise goals for each hour spent with me. My method is based on the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) and 13 sub-levels designed to keep motivation and to put the student into a consistent language development path. In 2012, in Curitiba, Brazil, I opened my own school, Corso Brancaleone, where I offered language courses in which, since the first lesson – even for beginners – we followed collaborative study paths on Italian art and history. It was a great experience that made me meet so many people interested in going beyond the common language lessons. I have a master's degree in teaching at the Giovanni Pascoli School. I have been teaching Italian for many years to foreigners in Florence, working for a voluntary association, and also at the UAM (Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana) in Mexico city and Aguascalientes, Mexico. In 2017 and 2018 I taught Italian in Australia. I have shaped my teaching over time by having to teach to people from 5 to 70 in many different situations, face to face, online, in schools, in neighbourhoods, in villages, in associations, even in different kind of churches and recreational clubs, using the most effective teaching approach based on the situation.

I am a serious and charismatic teacher who believes in keeping the student's motivation and interest on the subject in order to get better at it. There is no greater satisfaction than seeing your student progressing and increasingly loving the subject they are studying.

I am very well organised and I am adaptable, I've always enjoyed working with various types of students with different motivations for learning: I centre my work on the needs and abilities of the students, my approach and methods adapt from time to time to the learning style and needs of the student, that's why the trial lesson is so important: to know each other and to plan the whole course. I always try to have fun during my lessons, because if I'm bored, the students are bored too. So I always propose new, interactive and attractive materials, I love using videos, songs, newspaper articles and multimedia applications for language learning.

I have been studying foreign languages for many years, and I am still in this process. Teaching and learning are two sides of the same coin. You cannot teach if you are not open to learning every single day. I am currently studying to get CEDILS (Certificate to teach Italian to foreigners). I really LOVE TO SHARE MY KNOWLEDGE and I feel happy when my students progress. I will do my best to make you feel at ease and challenged. I will help you overcome some typical blocks we all have while learning a new language, such as the fear of making mistakes or the fear of speaking. I'm an emphatic, easy-going, and patient teacher.
