I've taught Physical education from K- 12th grade. I've coached multiple sports and worked with kids of all ages. In the business world I've managed restaurants and supervised and coached at times up to 40 employees.

I have been a tutor for kids in Bulgaria for English so I have some experience with teaching others. I am very open to learning more about teaching since I find this an excellent way to meet new people and help others. I'd like to find out about hobbies and interests as well as your specific goals so that the lessons are as interesting and relevant to you as they can be. It's important for me to get to know your preferences, for example whether you want me to give you feedback continually and correct any mistakes you make at the time, or if you prefer me to give more general feedback at the end of the lesson. Good communication with you is a priority for me and I will always welcome your questions and suggestions!

I graduated from the Faculty of Foreign Languages – English and Spanish, and I also have a master's degree in Spanish. I’m a native Romanian speaker, with a standard accent, without any regional influences. I've been teaching English for 4 years now, to children in nursery schools.

I received TEFL certification from The Boston Language Institute. The program was an in-person 120-hour program that included supervised teaching of actual ESL classes. During the course, the instructors regularly told me that I should specialize in Business English. Since leaving Boston Language Institute, I have taught at language schools, privately tutored, worked as a high school English and World Studies teacher, and I am also experienced in teaching young children online. In 2020, I also completed a 120-hour TESOL certification program.

Teaching has never been on my list of jobs to do. I would find it exhausting and tedious, especially when kids were involved. Never have I been so wrong! I have experience in teaching English live, as a volunteer in a centre in the Chilean Patagonia. I have also taught since March 2020 as a freelancer to people off all age groups from around the world.

I am a passionate ESL teacher with a TESOL certificate and 4 years of experience under my belt. For my primary short-term goal as a teacher, I must inspire and encourage my students to come to class every day with a can-do attitude and lots of positive energy towards learning, by making my lessons interesting and memorable. I’ve been teaching foreign languages for a couple of years now and I have developed as a teacher in both understanding the needs of my students and attuning the teaching materials (of which I have a vast supply) to meet their needs in an engaging and bespoke fashion.

I have been teaching English in Korea and the UK for nearly 10 years now. In Korea, I worked at private language institutions such as Wall Street Institute and Direct English where I taught students of various ages and careers. In the UK, I briefly taught in the summer programme at Bristol Language Centre, but I've mainly worked at the University of Bath where I am currently based. I am now working as an educational researcher, but still occasionally teaching students on academic skills. I am also a CELTA qualified teacher with a Master’s in TESOL and PhD in Education.

I am very kind and patient. I am not a strict teacher. I know what it means to study a new language because I had to learn Thai when I was in Thailand for 2 years as an English teacher. I make sure that my students understand that it is okay to make mistake because it is part of learning, however I also want them to do their best and practice what they are learning.

I started tutoring adults when I was traveling Australia. I met so many travelers that weren't native English speakers that it became a common thing for me to explain things about the language to people. After talking to more and more people I decided to look into becoming a teacher and then I did a TEFL course. I moved to Thailand and got a job in a primary school teaching children aged 6-12 years old. I try to speak as clearly as possible. I match the level of the lesson to my student's level of English.
