Hello! My name is Laurel! I'm an English teacher from Atlanta, GA. I love playing the ukelele and going on runs with my dog. I love movie recommendations and hearing new music. If you have any suggestions, be sure to tell me in class!

Me as a Teacher

My teaching style has been described as friendly and focused. I try to offer students freedom and time to express their thoughts uninterrupted. I tend to give corrections after students have completely expressed their ideas. I'm a big fan of Goal-oriented learning, which is a great way for students to build their confidence. With each lesson, there should be an objective, even if that objective is simply to learn new words.

Laurel is a very nice and pleasant person. Her “art of the conversation” lessons are fun and dynamic. Through our weekly discussions and practices, I learn a lot how to express my opinions and thoughts in a more native-speaking way.
