Teaching represents a way of sharing what we know and an opportunity to enrich one's knowledge and culture. I am patient, friendly and ready to meet your needs and requirements in learning the fantastic and amazing Italian language.

I'm here to help you learn Italian whether you are a beginner or an advanced learner. I have previous experience teaching Italian to adults in Germany, where I'm a teacher in the Volkhochschule system. In my lessons I like to teach the language, but also to help learners to understand my culture and the Italian way of life.

Conosco bene la fatica e l'impegno che sono necessari per l'apprendimento e propongo conversazioni interessanti, ma anche rilassate affinchè voi possiate essere felici dei vostri sforzi. Sono paziente e penso che divertirsi aiuti a imparare. I've taught Italian to foreign people for some years and I know that learning a new language is a long process. We need to be patient and determined. I can help you by talking together in Italian about several topics, but trying not to speak other languages. I would like to feel you confortable, relaxed and happy with your efforts. I'm patience and I think that fun is fundamental to learn.

During my teaching experience I realised that text books and manuals are useful but not enough to deeply understand a language, to assimilate the structure and use it properly and brilliantly in any situation. I'll always help you reach the highest confidence in your own skills making you aware, at your own pace, that once we comprehend and domesticate the grammar and we create a solid vocabulary all we need is to remember that speaking a foreign language is always funny, fulfilling and incredibly useful!

I've always loved languages and, as a language student, I know that when it comes to learning a new language the path may be tough. My aim is to help you overcome your struggles and become more confident with your Italian! I would describe myself as flexible, friendly and very much patient!

Every time I meet a new person I am surprised by the richness that the comparison and encounter with other cultures brings with it and this has always been what has moved me to travel and explore other languages ​​and new forms of communication. I lived (apart from Italy and Spain) in Australia and in South East Asia for about a year where I was exchanging convarsation practice with other people from different countries. I speak Italian, Spanish, English and a little bit of French. They are all languages ​​that I have learned almost entirely by speaking, in everyday situations, by entering into relationships with other people and for this I believe in the power of conversation.

Conversational Italian is the goal here. I'll help you gain fluency and learning new vocabulary including slang. I'm a language learner myself so I know what you wants from a teacher.

My teaching experience is mostly related to Spanish and English tutoring to Italian middle and high school students, as well as Italian tutoring to South Korean university students living in Italy: in both cases, it's very rewarding and I tried to put my students at ease as much as possible - as I'd do with you! I usually don't give homework but I like suggesting activities you can do while reviewing for the next lesson - and I you need me to review them, don't hesitate to ask!

From 2010 to 2015 I taught full-time in a private Italian school for foreigners in the centre of Rome. Since 2016 I have been a freelance teacher, both in Rome and online. I find important teaching Italian in a formal but funny way, as I think the learning path is more pleasant and effective. I really hope to be useful for personal improvement and overcoming fears, such as making linguistic errors, something absolutely normal and useful, if accepted, to have a starting point from which to progress successfully.

Quattro anni fa ho cominciato ad insegnare giapponese in Italia ai livelli A1-A2 fino all'inizio del B1 con l'obiettivo di superare esami universitari di lingua e i primi due livelli degli esami ufficiali di lingua giapponese (JLPT). In Giappone ho frequentato un'università dove c'era un dipartimento dedicato al canto lirico. Lì ho avuto modo di aiutare alcuni studenti ed insegnanti a praticare l'italiano conversando insieme. La mia laurea mi specializza nella comunicazione tra culture diverse, ma avendo come base di partenza la Linguistica ho conoscenze non specialistiche anche nell'insegnamento di una lingua straniera.

Durch mein Studium habe ich viel Erfahrung im Unterrichten. Mir ist vor allem ein vielfältiger und abwechslungsreicher Unterricht sehr wichtig. Grazie al mio studio ho tanta esperienza nell'ambito dell'insegnamento. Per me è molto importante usare metodi diversi nelle mie lezioni per rendere il tutto più efficace e interessante. Thanks to my studies I have a lot of experience in teaching. I think it is very important to use different methods and variation when teaching in order to make the lesson more effective and interesting.

Being a language learner myself, I know what are the problems that students are facing and what are the most common mistakes. I try to approach language learning in a fun way, it is important to keep motivated! It's also important to understand that if you want to learn a language you need to commit to practicing it almost on a daily basis. This doesn't mean you have to spend hours studying! you can spend just a few minutes per day just reading an article, or listening to a song or a podcast! Grammar is important, but for me, what is more important is to be able to understand the language and to communicate!

I love teaching because I've always found lovable students who have a lot to share with me in terms of interests and experiences, and it's amazing to give them the possibility to express themselves. I am expert in intermediate levels, so I can help students who are maybe strong at grammar competence or reading skills but still don't arrive to manage a good conversation or to speak fluently. My focus is on practising and getting to know the real culture, avoiding stereotypes about Italian people, and having authentic conversations. I also use strategies to connect the online learning environment with the real context where students live and people around them.

Sono tutor d'italiano da più di 6 mesi su italki (anche se ho avuto altre esperienze in precedenza) e ho avuto la fortuna di crescere continuamente seguendo alcuni dei miei studenti fin dall'inizio del loro percorso su questa piattaforma. E' un esperienza bellissima. A proposito di questo ringrazio con il cuore Linda, bravissima studentessa francese da cui ogni giorno imparo; sì, imparo perché quello con lo studente lo considero un viaggio con uno splendido compagno. Sai qual'è l'aspetto che più amo d'insegnare come tutor su italki? L'incontro con altre persone. Ora più che mai mi rendo conto di come tutti siamo interconnessi e di come siano affascinanti le persone ed i loro potenziali.

Ho insegnato italiano per quattro anni agli studenti stranieri della mia università e ho anche dato lezioni private sia ad adolescenti e a professionisti. Sono diplomato in ragioneria e ho dato molte ripetizioni su questo settore, quindi posso aiutare gli studenti che intendono migliorare la capacità di esprimersi in un contesto di business. So bene quanto possa essere difficile imparare una nuova lingua e per questo le mie lezioni sono sempre basate sulle richieste specifiche dello studente.
