Mi piace trasmettere la passione per la mia cultura e la mia lingua, ma al centro delle mie lezioni c'è lo studente con la sua voglia di conoscere e di imparare. Proprio per questo, durante le nostre conversazioni avrai modo di parlare liberamente, di qualsiasi argomento, senza sentirti giudicato e, in breve tempo, comincerai a sentirti più sicuro nel parlare in italiano.

Ho una Laurea Triennale in Lettere Moderne e una Laurea Magistrale in Filologia Moderna. Sono un'insegnante di lingua e letteratura italiana presso le scuole superiori di primo e secondo grado. I am a certified teacher (I obtained the DITALS certification from the University for foreigners of Siena) and I have experience with one-to-one lessons both in presence and online, with adults of many nationalities and with teenagers and children. Before that I studied at the Liceo classico (studying Italian literature, Latin and ancient greek language and literature) and then I studied international law at the university of Milan.

Ho iniziato ad utilizzare Italki come studente, per migliorare la mia conoscenza della lingua inglese e diventare più fluente nelle conversazioni. I came to teach quite by chance. I bumped into a job advert and send through my cv. Unexpectedly, they gave me an interview, which went well so I flew to UK to teach Italian. That was incredible. Since then, I have been specialising in teaching. I have a university degree in science communication, specialises in journalism and I am at the second year of a second degree in languages and foreigh cultures, specialises in English and Spanish.I have got the CEDILS certification which is a certification of competence in teaching Italian as a foreign language or second language. I have also got C1/2 level proficiency certificates in English, Spanish and Japanese (CAE, DELE C2, JLPT2).

I am a patient, sociable and curious person and also teacher, at least I have been told! What is important for me is that you feel comfortable and you are motivated to learn, I want that my students enjoy the classes and have fun, in this way learning become much easier! Two more things: *I can send you a placement level test when you book a lesson in order to prepare a perfect first lesson and consequently give you the proper material before as well. *Then, if you decide to continue learning with me, we can see together and structure a long-term program using my personal material or a specific manual for Italian learners.

I really care about being professional. At the same time, during my lessons I like to maintain a relaxed atmosphere based on mutual respect and sociability. In my opinion these requirements. are fundamental for a successful process of learning. As a versatile person I plan the courses to achieve the target expressed by the student, but I am always available to discuss and explain in depth particular subjects. My organisation/preparation of the courses is versatile, and it favours the preferences of each student, so as to achieve their goals.

I enjoy teaching other people and passing on them all my knowledge and experience. In my lessons, I will always encourage you to speak italian without being afraid of making mistakes and will look for the method that suits you the best, via a classical approach or a modern one (with multimedia materials). Being a languages learner myself, I know the difficulties you will find and I will be focusing on your needs to make you feel as comfortable as possible during this long journey. I used to tutor children and teenagers in their school years helping them with subjects such as Italian grammar and literature. I am actually pretty much into classical literature. I also helped many adults learning Italian, especially my fellow East European and Arab immigrants. Since I've been on italki I've realized how much I missed doing this, and how much I love it! I still do not have any particular qualitication as a teacher (but it's actually in my plans) so I don't have the pretension to teach to an academic level. However, I do have a lot of experience, both live and online, and I do speak both languages on a native level, using them everyday in school, work and personal life.

Before starting lessons with a new student, I would like to understand what your goals are in order to decide on a lesson plan together. My lessons are both for beginners and people with an advanced level of Italian.

I am a dedicated and committed researcher and teaching professional with a comprehensive experience spread over diversified roles in the education field where I have delivered excellent performance results. I am skilled at teaching students with different cultural and educational backgrounds. I have customized programs and syllabus according to special requirements and goals of students: e.g. syllabuses for Italian in working environments, university, diplomacy and tourism. I like teaching students from different cultures because it is a way to exit my comfort zone and it is a way to grow both from professional and human point of view.

As soon as I graduated, I started working in a language school. I have worked with people of all ages and of all levels and backgrounds, big groups, small groups and one-on-one. I can offer you my knowledge, 20 years of experience and a good will to help you in your learning journey. I like working with people who are dedicated to their goals and who find time to achieve them. I'm really happy when my students learn something new or improve their language skills and this requires seriousness from both (student's and teacher's) sides. However I like my lessons to be relaxed and friendly. Online teaching offers a lot of possibilities and I always implement new features I discover.

During my stay abroad I have always helped friends who were struggling to learn Italian and now it has become my job. Currently I am giving private lessons of Italian, English and Japanese to students from Elementary school to University and I love it right because every time it is a different challenge.
