I like to utilize lots of different methods and activities during my classes and I have a dynamic approach to how I teach. I believe that every student responds to different methods and I enjoy working together with each individual to meet their needs. I understand the challenges and difficulties that you may have as I am currently learning Spanish so I'm naturally empathetic.

My priority is to help you improve your communication skills. I will make sure you learn the 3 languages I am fluent in, i.e. English, French, and Arabic. It is worth noting that learning a new language is also about discovering new cultures and exploring new horizons. I teach from my office, where I have high-speed wifi, HD camera, whiteboard, marker pens, flashcards, and many other teaching materials.

I have been teaching on italki since 2012 and have taught over 3,000 lessons, to more than 200 students, with an average rating of 5.0. I started teaching English as a community volunteer in North Carolina, USA and have more than ten years experience as a professional English teacher and instructor in the UK, Japan and Spain, I have taught private lessons, and group classes in language schools, companies and on government funded programmes. I have degrees in Business Studies and Economics and two teaching qualifications. I have been a dance teacher for 40 years, so that I am sure I love teaching! At some times in the past, I have also given private language lessons at home, but it was hard to fit them into my family life. Now with italki offering online teaching, I am pleased to come back to it. I see teaching fundamentally as a way of communicating. Before starting to instil any skill in my dance students, I try to reach out to each of them and establish the open channel that is key to learning. This is how I am able to teach the difficult technique of classical ballet to complete adult beginners, women and men. After completing my High school education I have decided to pursue my destined career in English. So I completed my Graduation and then Post Graduation in English Language. to take it further I am pursuing my Ph.D. and it interesting to note that my research topic is based on the English as A Second Language. Non native speakers of English always inspired me to learn to teach and now to do research in. I am an extrovert and ready to listen people and learn new things from them. I hope to come up with a beneficial outcomes from my research so it can help learners to learn English easily and effectively.

I have almost 20 years teaching experience. I have the TEFL certificate. I have taught all levels and ages in Taiwan, Japan, China and to foreign students in California, USA. One of my favorite things is to have fun conversation about interesting subjects and I am good at coming up with subjects and topics. I find a communicative approach (CLT) with an emphasis on conversation is most suitable for online classes, preferably with additional offline task-based assignments to further progress. I use a variety of materials and sources depending on a student's needs and background, and incorporate real life materials and relatable content for every class when possible. I specialize in Business English, General English, test and interview preparation, American English, and Intermediate and Advanced students.

Please note that I do not teach beginners! I specialize in American pronunciation training and accent reduction, as well as language mentoring (learning how to learn a language in the way that works best for you) but I also have a lot of different activities to improve all of your English language skills if desired.
