I´m not a professional teacher but over the years I got quite a few opportunities to teach German and English for fun (sometimes, in Myanmar, for example, also for cookies...) and every single time it was a very special experience. I have my BA from Bellarmine University and hold an Advanced Certificate for Teaching English as a Foreign Language. Learning a new language is one of the most incredible ways to learn about people, explore new ways of thinking and challenge yourself to be better. As a teacher, I believe that it's my responsibility to help my students find their motivation and make their English language learning journey fun, engaging and attainable. I have worked in education for the last six years and have taught English to non-native speakers in Ukraine and online. I have experience teaching advanced speakers and complete beginners. As a teacher, I work to make myself approachable, open and adaptable.

I’ve been learning how to speak a language in different ways (traditional- in school and natural-like a child) and the natural way is by far the most stimulating and motivating way. My classes will be mostly conversational and we will personalize every class to your abilities, needs and goals. I can help you with everything from grammar, preparation for Swedish exams, new vocabulary etc. Life is a constant learning process that never ends. Every day we are learning new things and improving as long as we stay curious and engaged.

I am a friendly and helpful teacher. I believe in understanding the perspective of my students and the challenges they face. I always thrive to create a fun and engaging learning environment. I plan my lessons according to the learning requirements of my students. For beginners, I start with the basics of a language and then work on giving them greater content exposure and also work on improving their fluency.

I have studied foreign languages and literatures at university and on my own. I studied at schools and universities in Russia, Malta, Norway and Kazakhstan, so I know differences in educational systems in different countries. I can speak Russian, English, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese and some German, Norwegian, Hebrew, Arabic, Kazakh and Chinese. I have been tutoring students for ten years. I am a patient, funny and dynamic person. I like that my students can feel comfortable with their learning process. Also, I encourage them to not feel afraid in making a mistake and to ask questions if they have a doubt. I keep an eye in every student progress since they have different goals on these languages. Further, I like to tell them to feel afraid to text me any hour if they have a question or a doubt.

I'm quite patient and very understanding if you ever feel frustrated or just simply overwhelmed, so I can be very helpful when it comes to learning a challenging topic. I really think pronunciation is very important, since we almost always communicate verbally, and that's how we make first impressions. I am most interested and trained in speaking and listening training, so you will benefit especially from my lessons in accent training and speech patterns. Of course, I am always open to regular conversation practice, providing corrections and vocabulary words throughout the lesson :) I also hold a deep knowledge of the grammar of my own language, and my explanations will be clear so that you can grasp the grammar in the quickest time possible. I care about speaking normally (correctly) -that means correcting things. I don't say "it's ok.. people will understand. Students often know grammar, but don't know how to use things, eg: I have to/I should/I must or I'm going/I'm going to go/I will go, etc. # I want to teach you to use them like native people. I also teach pronunciation and can help you using pronunciation form your language (if I know it). I can teach the speaking section of IELTS and TOEFL. I can help you to answer the questions well.
