I have taught English and Persian before to many people and I'm confident that I can help you reach your goal. I can introduce the best resources and give useful study tips. My goal is that people realise how exciting it is to take on the challenge of learning a new language. My lessons range from informal to formal, however I like my students to be relaxed during a lesson and to trust me in my ability to advance their English level at a pace that is comfortable for them. However, I do insist that my students are serious about their studies.

As your English teacher or Portuguese tutor, I can help you with conversation/listening practice, pronunciation and grammar (fluency and/or accuracy, depending on your goals). I will use all my knowledge and different teaching techniques to help you in our lessons, as well as my own experience as a language learner. Everyone has a different motivation to learn a language. I would like to know what is yours and focus our lessons on it. Basically I will adapt my skills to your needs and to your personality.

What distinguishes me from other teachers is my passion as well as my strategy. I like to prepare conversation topics, songs, news articles, philosophical questions that have the relevant vocabulary and grammar structures to improve your language skills. Several of my students have started as beginners with me and went on to suceed in moving to Germany. My personal opinion is that anyone can learn a language: it is not a talent, but a skill. Just like math or riding a skateboard, it is a skill that you can develop. I am here to help you hone in on your skills and succeed in your interview, language exam or reading a book in English or German.

I pride myself on being able to have a good conversation on any topic and also on having a really good sense of humor. That is why, our classes will always be fun and you'll be looking forward to them. I am also very open-minded and enjoy learning about other cultures and traditions from all around the globe. I'll make sure to guide and motivate you during your learning process and you can always ask me anything, even outside of class. If you want, I will also give you weekly homework so you can improve your level outside our classes as well.

Tengo experiencia como profesora de inglés y español como segunda lengua en el departamento de lenguas extranjeras en la UABCS, impartiendo clases a estudiantes de todas las edades. I like to learn new things and new languages. It's kind of a hobby of mine, so now I’m also learning Farsi. I graduated from the Russian State University with a philology degree. After the University I started to work teaching Turkish and English. I’m experienced in teaching children. I have also experience as a translator: Russian to Uzbek (simultaneous translation), Russian-Turkmen and Russian-Turkish. As a teacher I like my classes to be a safe, fun and comfortable space for the learner, no matter the age. I know how scary it can be to learn a language so I will be here to make the transition as comfortable for the student as possible. There are no stupid questions in my classroom, questions is how you grow so i encourage my students to ask as much as they want. I am patient, open-minded and efficient and if requested I can tailor a lesson plan for a students specific needs.

I've lived internationally for a while and I've enjoyed making so many new friends and being able to help them improve their English. Previously I've volunteered at an elementary school to help third graders who have English as their second language with their assignments, homework, and general conversational skills.
