About Me

My name is Rachel and I'm from South Carolina in the United States. Currently I live in Spain while I work remotely for the sustainability department of a medical university and finish my thesis for my masters in sustainable development management. I completed my bachelors in the US in international business and management, and I minored in Spanish and Italian. I love traveling the world to meet new people, but for now, italki helps me meet new people and help them unlock the English speaking world all from home.

Me as a Teacher

I've lived internationally for a while and I've enjoyed making so many new friends and being able to help them improve their English. Previously I've volunteered at an elementary school to help third graders who have English as their second language with their assignments, homework, and general conversational skills. I'm patient and a good listener!

My lessons & teaching style

My lessons will be conversational to provide a safe space for anyone to practice speaking English. My favorite topics are environmental sustainability related, but I love learning about new things and am willing to speak about any topic! I can correct grammar if you'd like, and help you to speak more natively by teaching common but lesser known phrases and rules. My lessons are whatever you want to make them!

Rachel is a very nice person, we talked about multiple interesting subjects and thanks to her I learned many things about her country. I really recommend her !
