I have been lecturing students for over 7 years. Teaching mainly Biblical education and daily application of scripture. I have learned that simple yet interactive teaching is the best and most effective way of reaching the student's mind and heart, for these two things are the reasons why we want to learn. I am fun, gregarious, and love getting to know my students.

I have been teaching students English for two years. I have a TEFL qualification in English. I like helping students practice for the IELTS speaking exam. Experience helping students from all over the world including Russia, China, Korea, Spain, Germany, France, Jordan and Japan.

I see myself as a mirror: I can help and guide you through the language, present grammar rules, explain vocabulary, answer questions, and correct your mistakes, but your improvement and progress are entirely up to you, how enthusiastic you are about the language you study, and your motivations. Slowly but surely, your skills will flourish and you´ll become confident in your language abilities. For me, this is one of the best parts of my work. :)

*** MAY & JUNE 2021 UPDATE *** I am currently available to tutor in English five days a week, 40 hours per week. I recommend that students book sessions at least 1-2 weeks in advance. Any bookings made less than 24 hours in advance will not be accepted due to the time it takes to prepare for a student's lesson (trial lessons included). Scheduling a minimum of 1-2 weeks beforehand will guarantee yourself a spot in my tutoring schedule. NOTE: I will be going on vacation between June 16-23. My lessons would be very easy-going, patient and a need to help others to learn. We can cover a wide range of topics. I enjoy hearing and sharing opinions on different subjects such as the world news. We can cover basic chat through to a higher level of learning the English language, which is certainly a very important language to grasp. I help in my daughter's school once a week helping children to read, to understand what they are reading about, phonics and spelling tests.

I have been teaching English for the past 3 years, so I know how to help a student from a beginner level to a more advanced level. In my classes, I generally like to do a mixture between grammar and practicing the language. Generally, I prefer to follow the European Framework of Reference for Languages as my guide when planning classes. I believe that grammar and vocabulary is important – but so is the experience of learning English. I started as General Education Teacher handling language courses in English and Filipino 13 years ago. I've also handled Social Science classes such as History, Humanities, Philosophy and my field of specialization - Psychology. I have a Master's degree in Teaching - Secondary Education (older children and adults). Although formal teaching is my second career, I have been teaching all of my life--children through adults. I work to help my students have space to figure out answers without cutting them off, and helping them learn to calm their mind so they can think clearly to work on an answer.

As a teacher, I am very interested in my students and creating a structure that is both fun and interesting to them. We all learn in different ways and as your teacher I wish to talk with you about which ways you learn best. I find that conversational platforms are a more informal yet highly effective way to learn. Simply discussing current events, what is happening at your work or at home, or in your city can be amazing tools to learning a language in a very practical way and expedite the learning process.
