I discovered I wanted to be a full-time teacher when I moved to Poland and started to teach sporadically. After I came back to Spain I took a course on teaching skills and started to teach independently. And I loved it! The more I tough the more I liked it... and I still love it. I have helped many students over the last 6 years to be confident when speaking Spanish. My area of expertise is verbs and conjugations. So if you need help understanding the different kinds of past tenses to be sure I have plenty of resources to help you with that. I have helped many students to successfully use past tenses. When it comes to my personal qualities I would identify as very patient and supportive.

I have over ten years of teaching experience in and outside of the classroom. I have taught students ages 11-18 in classrooms in the United States and taught individual lessons to young people and adults in the United States and Spain. I have a background in Translation and Philology at the University of Granada. I taught Spanish as a second language in the States for seven years and also in Spain up to present. I have 20 years of teaching experience (since 1998) and I started teaching online in 2017. While I was in the United States teaching Spanish I also studied a Master’s Degree in the Teaching of Foreign Language and Literatures, and a Ph D in Applied Linguistics in the Acquisition of Spanish as a Second Language. I have several papers published on the topic of the pedagogy of Spanish and I have been granted four Teaching Excellence Awards based on students' evaluations and performance.

I consider myself a very supportive and patient teacher. My sessions are centered in the student, therefore I bring them company, guide and support, but they are the only protagonists who must construct their own knowlegde of the target language in the way that is most convenient for them, that's why, I like being someone very flexible, who gets adapted to the student needs, with the only aim to make it easier and enjoyable this long and not always very easy process of foreing language acquisition.
