I have experience teaching my native language from intermediate level upwards. I have also over 10 years of experience in Advertising and Automotive Components sectors, currently working in my family-owned Business. I am used to working with demanding customers of national and international companies. I consider myself an open-minded person who allows me to adapt to my students to help them achieve their goals. Since I was little I have always wanted to be a teacher so for me teaching is very vocational and I love my job. I have so much fun with my students that going to work is a pleasure for me. When I was a teenager, I spent many Sundays afternoons teaching my little cousins at my grandmother´s house and after that I started tutoring one of my cousins at his house. Once I finished my Teaching Degree four years ago, I moved to Utah to teach Spanish in a Dual Immersion school. I was supposed to stay only a year but I decided to stay two. After two years teaching Spanish in the US, I moved to Sydney to keep travelling and teaching Spanish as well and then to London.

Tengo experiencia docente como profesora sustituta en la Universidad impartiendo docencia en las materias de Promoción de Ventas, Determinación de Precios y Gerencia de Marcas. Me gusta ayudar a los demás con su pronunciación, con las dudas que tenga de temas en general, darles consejos e ideas que los ayuden a mejorar todo lo relacionado con el idioma, sin embargo yo sé que el idioma Español no es fácil, y es ahí cuando puedo decir que soy realmente paciente con las personas, más que nada porque yo también aprendo idiomas.

Me gusta mucho escuchar a las personas, ser paciente y ayudarlas. Creo que la clave para ser un buen profesor o tutor es la paciencia y la dedicación. Cuando nos esmeramos por planear las lecciones y transmitir la enseñanza lo mejor posible, los alumnos lo notan y es más fácil para ellos aprender y también interactuar a la hora de las lecciones. Me emociona la idea de poder ayudar a otros así como me están ayudando a mi con el aprendizaje del idioma Inglés. Mi interés es que el lenguaje Español llegue a ser parte de sus vidas y disfruten de ello.

I studied in a bilingual English school, so my level is advanced, in the same way I have expanded my vocabulary autonomously supporting myself of visual content in English. I think that practicing with a native speaker of the Spanish language helps a lot in the fluency and pronunciation of people. I hope to be a guide in this learning process, broadening the vocabulary and teaching the meaning or connotation of the phrases and words of this language.

Learning another language can be hard, but it can also be a fun and rewarding experience. Although I am a native Spanish teacher, I can relate to students because I had to learn English and Japanese when I was younger. I now know making mistakes and learning from them is the best way to learn a language. I believe how you feel is even more important than what you know when speaking a different language. Therefore I tell true stories from my experience, give advice and share tips to help you feel more confident and motivate you when communicating in Spanish. I love teaching because it is one of those great professions that allow you to be forever learning.

I have been delivering one on one sessions online for around 6 years and I have learnt a lot of things from my students in that time. In particular, I am interested in offering students basic cultural knowledge and understanding, so that they may understand the references and tone of a conversation between native speakers. I also believe that in an increasingly integrated world, in which questions of politics, music, sport and culture happen on a global level, students should feel able to participate in those conversations. I am also keen on the art of error correction - when to correct and when not to correct.
