I am experienced in teaching a topic that a lot of students overlook whilst learning a language, which is phonetics. My main focus when it relates to language teaching is putting close attention at its pronunciation, since languages are living entities used to communicate with people, and learning a language's phonology is key in order to break that gap left when speaking in a foreign language.

Talking about me as a teacher, I have had experience teaching Spanish at my University. Giving tutoring to the students who come from the exchange program. I do focus on different topics like grammar, pronunciation, spelling and assertive communication workshops. On the other hand, each class will suit to your level and the intensity you require, always according to your needs. As I already said, we are going to work day by day, step by step in order to make you feel comfortable and sure to be able to advance in your learning.

Descubrí mi pasión por la enseñanza de mi idioma nativo hace unos años y me certifiqué como profesora de español como segundo idioma. Desde entonces, he enseñado online y de manera presencial. Lo que más me gusta de enseñar español es conocer la historia que hay detrás de cada estudiante y acompañarlo en el proceso de aprender este bonito idioma.

Tengo más de cinco años de experiencia como maestra de educación artística lo cuál me ha ayudado a desarrollar más habilidades de las que creí ocupar al comenzar mi carrera profesional. I'm a very flexible teacher. I truly don't think learning a language while suffering is a good idea. I want you to speak as much Spanish as possible but I understand students' limits. The idea is to make you speak more and more Spanish with each lesson so you feel more comfortable with the language. My lessons are based on the students' needs, according to the level I'll choose a topic/grammar, but I also love opinions, suggestions and questions! If you want to practice something in specific or you have a question about a specific grammar that you saw/heard on a TV show or an article, I'd love to work with that too :)

Me gusta enseñar por vocación, enseño a los niños de manera divertida, así es mas fácil y sencillo su aprendizaje. Disfrutar de las clases sin que parezca que estudias de lo agradable que puede ser, también ayudo a los adultos siendo paciente y repetitiva hasta que logran su objetivo y eso genera confianza en el estudiante y los hace sentirse cómodos y generar confianza en si mismos. En cuanto a los estudiantes avanzados pueden practicar, ampliar su vocabulario y mejorar más sus habilidades.

Dicen que el Español es un idioma complicado, por ello, la práctica te hará todo un experto. Al no ser una profesora formal ni estricta, te puedo brindar la confianza necesaria para que obtengas esa fluidez que todos anhelamos cuando estamos aprendiendo un nuevo idioma. Soy una persona paciente y dedicada, por lo tanto, me esforzaré para que en realidad aprendas.

Como profesora podría decir que soy exigente pero al mismo tiempo comprensible y trato de posicionarme en el lugar del otro para entender sus falencias. I started teaching when I was in the University and I needed some extra money. I found out that I have very good communication skills, I mean that I can explain the same thing from different points of view to make the student understand a lesson. Help people learning is my goal, my challenge, and I love it. Other skill that I have is my huge patience, so I can repeat a lesson all the times necessary with good mood and a smile. Finally I got my degree in Psychology in 2010 (that also helps me to be better teacher) and I decided to study and become an official Spanish language teacher, certified by Instituto Cervantes.
