Soy una persona a la cual les encantan los retos, eso significa que si tengo la oportunidad de impartirle docencia a una persona con un nivel muy bajo de español; veré eso como una oportunidad. Soy muy paciente y me gusta darles mucho ánimo a mis alumnos.

In 2019 I received my degree as a teacher at the Higher Institute of Teachers in my city, having passed the different Practice Workshops in my city. In addition, , for 6 years, I have been offering private Math and English classes for ESO and Baccalaureate students. I have always liked teaching. Since I was a teenager, I wanted to dedicate myself to something that contributes to cultural development, and today I feel that my mission as an educator is to offer people the necessary teachings so that they acquire the skills and abilities they will need to perform with comfort and efficiency within society.

I’ve been enjoying teaching for so long. I think both parts are always learning in different ways and that is what makes teaching for me so joyful. I consider myself very calm and patient and you can notice this on the way I teach and relate to people. My favorite part about teaching is to see how the student grows and starts reaching their goals!

I have been an English and Spanish teacher since 2007 and I have worked in several private and public institutions. I have a bachelor’s degree in English and Spanish teaching from Universidad Pedagogica Nacional and I am currently living in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where I work as an English teacher. I taught English to college students from 2008 to 2015, and I also taught English literature and directed a few language immersions at the universities I worked at. From 2015 to 2018, I lived in Washington DC and worked as a History/Spanish teacher at a bilingual multicultural school where I had the chance to teach students not only from the US but also from Central America, Africa and Asia.

Academic Background: A-level: Latin, Greek, French, English, Spanish Language, and Literature. University: BA in History (specialized in Applied History). After being PR of AEGEE Santander I found my vocation in teaching my language, so I decided to take a course to certify myself as a teacher of Spanish as a Foreign Language. I am currently studying another University course to become a translator. I also work as a Spanish proofreader for an editorial.

I make the classes enjoyable, learning and having fun at the same time is a good combination. I totally adapt to the needs of the student. Some ask me to have more conversation, others to study more grammar, and others simply leave me in their hands to continue improving their Spanish.

Como profesora soy muy comprometida con el resultado que requiere el estudiante de mi, por lo que me considero muy dinámica, me gusta escuchar mucho a mis estudiantes, no solo para lo que compete en la enseñanza, si no también para intercambiar conocimientos. Soy muy autodidacta y les impregno esa cultura a mis estudiantes. Adicional a eso estoy siempre muy abierta a los requerimientos que el estudiante necesite, bien sea horarios que establezcamos para este proceso. Me gusta que los estudiantes sean muy sinceros a la evolución que tengan en el pasar del curso porque de esta manera se pueden ajustar varios factores que estén limitando el aprendizaje del estudiante.

Me encanta enseñar español, es mi pasión. En estos mas de 8 años he enseñado a personas de todo el mundo y de todos los niveles, desde principiantes totales hasta muy avanzados. Además, he aprendido otros idiomas como ingles, alemán e italiano, por lo que entiendo perfectamente los problemas que puede tener un estudiante que aprende otro idioma.
