I first started helping people with Portuguese in an informal way. Then I started the channel on YouTube and found out my passion for teaching, then I started teaching! My main goal is to offer people what I didn't have while learning English: real contact with the language, conversation practice, practical tips on how to improve and useful feedback about mistakes. I will always encourage you to speak without fear! That's the only way to get fluency!

I was an Air Force linguist from 2005 to 2009. During my time at the DLI, I regularly tutored people. In 2010 I began teaching professionally in and around Chicago. In 2012 I became interested in the concepts of fractal geometry and began to relate it to language learning. Over the years, my students have included the FBI, Navy, hospitality, medical, and manufacturing companies.

I worked for several years teaching Portuguese to a wide range of  grades in private schools and in the public system with Secretaria Municipal da Educação (SME) in Rio de Janeiro. I also ministered private tutoring of Portuguese, Writing and Literature to children, young adults and adults ranging from preschool to high school. On top of that I received full scholarship for three years to work in the research of Morphosyntax. My research analyzed theoretical aspects of Functional Grammar and Sociolinguistics and worked with the "continuum" of gramaticalization and lexicalization in some verbal forms.

Any learning process must be adapted to the student, so even before our class begins, I like to know your goals, level and interests so as our conversation starts at the right pace, since the first second.

I endeavour to help my students to achieve their upmost best, by assisting them in developing their Brazilian Portuguese prnunciation. Inasmuch as I'm an easy-going humorous person, my methodology helps my students to get to grips with my native language, thus, inciting progression, through my wholehearted work ethic.

As a teacher, I am interested in your progress. I may have 1000 ideas about what is best for you, but if it doesn't fit well, we're not going there. I just want you to become a better language learner. That's right, not only to learn languages, but to learn how to study languages better. We can do a lot of good work together!

My Mom was a teacher and whes I was a Kid I would be like her one day! I Worked in HR for about 8 years in Brasil , most of the time Training people and I love Teaching. I decided to go to New Zealand to learn english wiha eas amazing, and through this experience I could learn english and spanish and I decided to come back home for a while. Then I thought : why not help people to learn portuguese ( My Native Language) or english? So I started with private classes ( all levels, general English and professional english like Business staff) .

I hold a bachelor's degree in Language Teaching and a Master's degree in Linguistics. I have extensive experience in language teaching and I have been teaching Portuguese as a second language for seven years. Over the years, I had students with different cultural backgrounds and different levels and learning styles.

I study history, which is also a discipline that requires teaching materials, so I am very patient with the learning process of the students. I like to turn classes (that could be boring) as something very interest and with great conversations, learning during the process of teaching. I prefer to know how my student like the classes to adapt them. I do everything i can to help, make it easier and fun!
