My choice of teaching as a career was not made lightly; rather, it was the culmination of a process of reflection about what I wanted to do with my life and my education. I have chosen education as a career because I believe that education is perhaps the most important function performed in our culture, or for that matter, any culture. I wanted to be part of this noble profession, and someday to be counted among those in whom future preservice teachers found inspiration.

I did my BA in history and political science and I received 2 teaching certificates (Oxford Seminars TESL and Cambridge's CELTA). I first had experience teaching young children in Hong Kong when I was 20 years old. It was an amazing opportunity to learn and travel, though I wasn't quite ready to devote myself to teaching full time. I finished my degree at McMaster university and worked random jobs before becoming a certified teacher in Montreal. I taught in 2 language schools. I started teaching online because my partner and I decided to move to France for a couple of years. Since then I've been working with italki and I absolutely love it.

I believe in learning by practice - listening and conversation. Of course, some regular exercise can be of use, but the most important thing in learning process is to become an autonomic participant of communication.

I become a German teacher because of my German teacher at school! She made me love German and I started finally to learn it effectively and enjoy it. I wanted to be so good like she was and I went to a college for teachers of German language. I really love individual approach to students and for this reason I started to work as a privates teacher. I hope I will able to make you love German as well!

I think my best quality as a teacher is empathy, as I understand the student's point of view very well and it is easy for me to put myself in their shoes. It is important to me that everyone has a good time while learning and I always try to bring a positive attitude into the classroom, be it face-to-face or virtual.

For each lesson I prepare my own materials, it can be saved in PDF or other I have proven success in helping students achieve their goals. Being a teacher for me means to transmit energy, passion and motivation to learn a new language. For me every lesson is my personal promise to give my best attitude and knowledge to every single student. Throughout years of study I tested on my own skin various approaches to language learning and I know clearly what works and what does not. All this helped me develop natural and very communicative approach to teaching. I love to share my enthusiasm with my students and I always try to help my students put in practice everything what they learn!

Dependently on your level I will use books and special exercises. I like student's involvement during the lesson as much as she/he can. It is nice when student is a little tired after the lesson :)) in my opinion it gives the best results. I will engage as much senses of your mind as possible to make your success visible. Thanks to teaching Polish to foreigners for the last year I had the opportunity to learn more about the grammar of my native language and about the problems it poses to those studying it. On my own, I started to delve into the nuances and details hidden in the Polish language to become a better teacher. As a person who loves to learn foreign languages, I know how incredible and long this path is. I know how important are good and interesting material; conversations with native speakers and getting to know the culture. As a teacher, I am extremely happy to see the progress I see in my students. That’s the best feeling.

I have taught students in every age. My focus is on adults and students above 14 years old now. I love seeing my students grow in confidence in their language skills. I am a native Polish speaker and I decided to be a community tutor here due to the fact that I like to learn languages and teach them as well. I have been learning languages by myself and through conversation for few years so I believe you can do it too! I do my best to provide fun, easy-going and stress-free lessons.

Why am I telling that? Because I heard it from my English teacher at school. She always told me that I didn't know English and that I was too bad for make a progress. Because of that I try to encourage my students, be patient if they don't see anything because I am here to explain.
