I've been teaching online since 2015, and although I teach all levels, I'm most experienced with beginners and pre-intermediate level. For me, getting to know you as a student AND as a person are both important. I want to know how you learn and process things so I can match to your needs. I want to know your strengths and weaknesses so I can help you balance them. I want to know what your interests are and what’s going on in your life so you can practice what you actually want to say to other people. And this also helps me to connect to you as a person. I will lead and guide you as a teacher but I will also be a friend that you can talk comfortably with.

rI'm an experienced teacher in online speaking classes through 1000+ online lessons I want to say my strength is a fun lesson. I have various students who've been studying with me for years, and I believe what made them study with me for a long time is that they can improve and have fun in class at the same time. My another strength is patience. Not all students are fast learners, and when that moment comes, I do my best to make student understand and wouldn't mind explaining and reviewing the same thing again. I would only move on to the next page when I'm sure that a student is keeping up with me.

We, as language learners need the motivation to keep learning. In my opinion, that kind of motivation mainly comes from having regular conversations with native speakers, especially those who have experienced the same struggles of learning a new language. In that sense, I really want to be a supporter of yours. I also majored art and art Studies, art history, and now I work as an art teacher. I use a lot of images to help the student speak and then develop sentences using everyday words and grammar. My aim is to encourage students to speak in Korean and improve their confidence.

As a language learner like YOU, I also have experienced so many trials and errors whilst studying foreign languages. Long story short, frankly, I gave up many times in the middle of studying as I felt skeptical about the fact barely improvement was seen no matter how hard I struggled. However, I kept patient and eventually managed that difficult moment, and here I am! I know there are many of you out here who have had the same feeling I experienced or are now dominated by such frustration whilst learning a Korean language. I have years of experience teaching English as a second Language to both children and adults. Also, I have been teaching Korean since 2018 and realised that I really enjoyed teaching and sharing my knowledge as much as I can. I will listen to you speak and focus on speaking and listening because I think that is the most important part of learning a language for the first time. 한국어는 1년 전 부터 온라인으로 가르치고 있습니다. **톡에서 강의를 한 적도 있고요. 현재는 주로 일본인과 홍콩인을 대상으로 매주 스카이프를 통해 가르치고 있습니다. 한국어는 아니지만 일본어를 오래전에 학원과 과외 그리고 방과 후 수업을 한 적이 있습니다. 과외는최근까지 하고 있었는데 코비드로인해서 지금은 잠시 쉬는 중입니다.

I am a professional Korean teacher. Now I live in Jeonju in Korea. I have been teaching on italki since 2017, but I first started in 2011. I was in an exchange program in Tanzania in the university and I helped some children speak Korean at Hangeul school. It was a new experience for me and I had a really good time with them. After that, when I traveled to Southeast Asia, I met some foreigners who were interested in Korean culture especially K-pop and K-dramas. I found out people feel happy to have a conversation in a foreign language with a native speaker. Those experiences made me think teaching Korean might be one of the wonderful things I can do. That’s why I got a certificate.

For fun communication, I’ll ask students what they are interested in, and I will prepare a range of materials such as articles, video clips, photographs and more in my classes for discussion and conversation. Topics could be anything: movies, music, travel, food. I think that even fashion or playing video games could be a proper topic to learn Korean. There’s no good or bad topics to learn Korean. My lessons can help you build your vocabulary, improve your use of written and spoken grammar, and confidently communicate in Korean. I have been teaching Korean since I started to travel alone. I taught Korean at church in Japan and the US. They range in age from 7-year-olds to 70-year-olds. Some people couldn't speak Korean at all, but they developed a lot through our (me and other Korean students) class. And I know how hard learning a new language is. I am so patient!
