Non amo particolarmente i metodi di insegnamento tradizionali, per questo proverò a rendere il tuo apprendimento un po' più stimolante e originale. Le mie lezioni saranno informali, dinamiche e piene di riferimenti alla cultura e alla società italiana. So quanto sia difficile studiare un'altra lingua! Ecco perché sarò sempre disponibile per chiarimenti, risolvere dubbi e fare pratica con esercitazioni.

I have a PhD in International Studies and I know a lot about Neapolitan and Italian history, society and culture. I have experience both in academic teaching and private tutoring (I have been tutoring both children and teenagers from 9 to 18 years old and universitary students for years). I prefer an interactive and dynamic approach, to be discussed together with the student according to his/her level and his/her needs.

I am a certified teacher (I obtained the DITALS certification from the University for foreigners of Siena) and I have experience with one-to-one lessons both in presence and online, with adults of many nationalities and with teenagers and children. Before that I studied at the Liceo classico (studying Italian literature, Latin and ancient greek language and literature) and then I studied international law at the university of Milan.

Languages can be tricky: grammar, pronunciation and fluency may seem a lot too juggle all at the same time. As a teacher, I can guide you through the maze of language learning, by providing you with clear insights on the differences between your target language and your native one, to achieve fluency and confidence in your vocabulary.

As a language learner, I know from experience that speaking is necessary to learn quickly and effectively. Most classes fall into the trap of using the same, highly ineffective, traditional teaching methods. Too much lecturing and theory leave students bored and tired. I have found a way to help my students to learn faster, and retain more information easily and quickly. My approach is based on a few fundamentals: listen and repeat, pronunciation, active thinking, spaced repetition. I believe in a flexible approach to language learning.

As already mentioned, before moving to UK I earned a Bachelor's Degree in "Foreign Languages and Cultures" and a Master's Degree in "Literatures and Intercultural Translation" in English and Spanish languages. While I was studying in Italy I used to teach privately as well to high school kids, to help them improve their English/ Spanish skills.

Penso che la conversazione, l'ascolto e gli stimoli visivi siano delle componenti fondamentali per imparare una lingua. Per questo motivo sostengo anche l'Automatic Language Growth (ALG), un metodo di insegnamento alternativo che potremmo sperimentare insieme.

My classes are learner-centered and my role is that of a facilitator and guide during your language learning process. I use an inductive approach, so the classes will be more engaging and it will help you develop all the main skills. I love what I do, so I will always start our classes with a smile on my face!

I have a bachelor's degree in teaching Italian and English as foreign languages and I have experience in teaching to whole school classes but also in training individual students. I really enjoy teaching one-to-one lessons because students get to talk a lot and I can tailor the lesson to every student's needs. Having learned different languages myself, I can totally understand how you feel as a language learner, and thanks to my experience with international students, I have a feeling for the most difficult topics. I love the power of words and I speak very clearly, using a large variety of words. I love being a teacher as I love being a student and learning new things. In learning a new language I think the fundamental things are listening and talking. But every now and then some grammatical rules don't hurt. The most important thing is to have fun: when we have fun we learn better and faster.

I have been studying English and Spanish, so I know from experience that learning a language takes time and dedication. My aim is to make this process as pleasant and fun as possible. I deal with many students around the world by giving language lessons, both in person, at the Italian language school Accademia Leonardo in Salerno, and via Skype. My passion for languages and my studies brought me to understand that languages are not just simple codes ruled by grammatical norms, but that they are actually used to express ourselves as individuals with different backgrounds and cultures.

In base agli obiettivi dei miei studenti posso aiutarli a ottenere una certificazione linguistica riconosciuta dal livello A1 al C2 o approfondire in particolare la conversazione, lo sviluppo di un vocabolario specifico e di espressioni particolari (attualità, lavoro, viaggi, cultura italiana...), la competenza grammaticale, simulare un colloquio di lavoro, ecc. Per me fondamentale nell'apprendimento di una lingua è la motivazione, per cui programmo sempre le lezioni a partire dagli interessi dei miei studenti. Inizio infatti sempre dall'ascolto dei miei studenti, cerco di capire le loro esigenze e di scoprire tutto quello che possa stimolare in loro il piacere di seguire le lezioni con me.

Sono un'insegnante molto dolce e molto empatica. Riesco facilmente a comprendere gli studenti e a motivarli.

Posso insegnare l'italiano a chi non lo parla molto bene, e a chi vuole migliorarlo. Possiamo anche scrivere in italiano e fare esercizi di lettura e scrittura. Ho pazienza e sono sempre sorridente e disponibile per me è importante che tu capisca bene cosa diciamo. Possiamo usare testi di canzoni per capire l'italiano, ascoltare insieme dei racconti, perché la cosa più importante è l'ascolto e parlare. I can teach Italian to those who can't speak Italian very well but would like to improve. We can also do reading and writing exercises together. I have a lot of patience and I'm always smiling and ready to help. For me it's important that you understand what's being said.

Ho iniziato a insegnare italiano nel 2016 all'Asociación Dante Alighieri di Málaga, e da allora non ho mai smesso! Il mio motto è "non smettere mai di imparare", ed è quello che cerco di trasmettere a tutti i miei studenti (oltre all'amore per l'italiano, certo!).
