I am a Community Tutor and My Lessons are targeted at intermediate to advanced Speakers. I am an Open Minded Person who's very engaging and empathetic in a Conversation. Learning a new Language can be difficult. I still try to argue fluent with my Dad in Italian. Currently im learning Japanese

It’s important for me that you feel relaxed in our lessons, so you will feel more comfortable speaking. I’m kind and very patient. Through my own experience I know that language learning is not linear, sometimes you find it easy and learn a lot and sometimes it can be frustrating. I believe learning should be fun. I´m not a professional teacher but over the years I got quite a few opportunities to teach German and English for fun (sometimes, in Myanmar, for example, also for cookies...) and every single time it was a very special experience. My work as a teacher includes teaching groups, kids and private students and preparing them for exams from beginners to B2. Some of my students want to improve their skills in order to study in Germany or a German-speaking country. Others need to improve their language skills because of their work in a corporate environment. My classes focus on language skills, such as fluency for professional and private settings, preparing for job interviews or presentations, and dealing with all kind of real-life situations the students may face.

Since 2007, I have been teaching German as a foreign language in Taipei, Taiwan to Chinese native speakers. Because I had had an interest in the Chinese language and culture for many years, in 2005 I moved to Taiwan to learn Mandarin Chinese. At some point during my stay I had to start looking for work and ended up teaching German at a local language center. I started teaching German to international students in 2009 as a private tutor during my university studies. During that time I realized that this is my true passion, because I love to work with people and seeing progress in my students makes me feel proud and truly happy. After graduation I took several courses to become a professional teacher and soon got a job at a reputable high school in Taiwan. * Communication centered lessons: free spirit, with correct grammar. * Textbook: I use BEGEGNUNGEN (A1, A2, B1) and ERKUNDUNGEN (B2, C1, C2) + A/B/C Grammatik * Google Docs: during lesson, I write down new vocabulary, expressions etc. in a shared google docs I adapt to my students: if we use a textbook or not, up to you. Some students prefer free style lessons, others prefer more guided ones. Conversation is usually: your thoughts and experiences. All lessons are 100% individual.

I hold a German as a Foreign language teaching certificate from the Goethe Institute and was teaching healthcare professionals at the Goethe Institute in Hanoi. My students appreciated my positive and friendly attitude that always kept them motivated. Formerly, I worked as the editor-in-chief of a customer magazine for a German medical engineering company. With this knowledge, I teach German courses for healthcare professionals such as nurses, caregivers, and doctors.

I myself have learned many foreign languages. I can relate to a situation when you start learning, it all goes well for a while and then it all just stops and no matter what you do, you cannot move on and improve your language level.
