Seit meiner ersten Unterrichtserfahrung vor nunmehr 10 Jahren weiß ich, dass ich Deutsch unterrichten will. Mittlerweile habe ich Erfahrung in Deutschland, Italien, Österreich, Spanien und Großbritannien gesammelt und mit den unterschiedlichsten Zielgruppen gearbeitet. Zu meinen Schülerinnen und Schülern gehörten Kinder, Jugendliche, Studenten und Erwachsene auf allen Niveaustufen. Ich sehe mich nicht nur als Sprachlehrende, sondern auch als Vermittlerin landeskundlicher Aspekte und als zertifizierte Goethe- Telc- und TestDaF-Prüferin und -Bewerterin gehört auch Prüfungsvorbereitung zu meinem Repertoire.

I have had my own Academy for more than 15 years and now I have to decide to continue a teaching online, so I can help people all over the world to learn or improve a foreign language. I am a very calm person which enables me to fully point my attention towards the student. I strive to cater my student with topics according to their levels. Never too easy, but just right to make my students sweat a little. I know how to motivate students in the right moments, in order for them to have fun while learning and having a guaranteed stamina. Because it for sure takes work to learn a language, and I would love to help others reaching their goals.

My lessons are entertaining because I am a really curious person that is definitely going to make you speak. I am creating authentic conversations using well prepared teaching materials. Mein Unterricht ist sehr unterhaltsam, weil ich eine sehr neugierige Person bin, die euch definitiv zum Sprechen animiert. I have helped many people learn languages and did it as a part-time job in my years of High School. Since I also did an exchange to the US, I am fully capable of speaking English as well which will help me translate it to international students from all over the world.

I am an open minded and patient teacher. Communication and the active use of new vocabulary is one of the most important factors when acquiring a new language. This is the reason I focus on speaking during my lessons. Materials like books, audio, grammar worksheets and themed vocabulary lists will accompany us during our lessons and make the learning process easier and more fun. Language learning is an individual process, which is why we will find your strengths and use them to aid us in your language learning journey.

As I am from northern Germany, I have a big advantage over other German teachers. I speak "Hochdeutsch", which is a dialect and accent free version of German. Everybody will be able to understand you and you will be capable of understanding everyone, when you learn with me. Especially in the south and east people have strong dialects, which are not very easy to understand, even for natives. As I am becoming a teacher myself and am studying this subject at the university, I know what is important and what is not, in order to learn German fluently.

Before iTalki, I volunteered to teach German and Math to Syrian refugees in refugee camps. I've been giving Math, Geography and English lessons during high school. So I am familiar with different types of students and teaching styles. I learned German myself just by using italki and have met several teachers, both professional and community tutors, and not just with native speakers, but also with non-natives. So I combine all the methods I've seen and put my own ones on the top in my lessons. I believe that the teacher is the person who motivates you and provides you with materials. I have been a volunteer German tutor since 2017 and have worked with individuals aged 13 and above ranging from beginner to advanced language level. I am also happy to help with exam preparation, and provide guidance on specific tasks and proofread your work (texts, essays etc.) or help with improving your writing style, vocabulary and grammar.

Ich habe an der LMU München u.a. das Fach "Deutsch als Fremdsprache" studiert. Während meines Studiums habe ich ein Auslandspraktikum am Goethe Institut in Rio de Janeiro absolviert. Ich habe bereits für zahlreiche Sprachschulen und Firmen in München unterrichtet. Seit 2015 bin ich selbstständige Deutschlehrerin und habe mich auf Business-Deutsch spezialisiert.

I am a very intuitive person and also very communicative. For me the essence of really mastering a language is showing in conversation and communication. That's why I focus on strengthening the confidence and comfort speaking the language the most. Of course I get into grammar, vocabulary and expression, but I take a playful approach with exercises and talking about your interests and areas you want to improve in. You can expect homework assignments and also individualized worksheets, if you wish. I'm very adaptable and bring fun into the learning process!

I will appreciate if my students keep time. If you happen to be more than 10 minutes late, kindly take into consideration that the lesson might not take place. German, English or Swahili; speaking is the easiest way to learning a language. It is best for you to state your language needs so as we may work around that. You will be able to practice what you learnt in school.
