I am a qualified and certified online TEFL English teacher. I am also a qualified IELTS teacher (Reading, Writing, Speaking, Listening). I have been teaching for approximately 1 year and have about 2300 (two thousand three hundred) English lessons behind my name. I am a TEFL-certified English teacher, with a background in journalism. During my ten years as a magazine editor, I've gained incomparable experience in correcting and levelling-up people's English skills. Further, I've been teaching English privately for around five years across the UK, Germany and Thailand. As such, my experience lies primarily in one-on-one teaching, which I'm excited to continue here on iTalki. My lengthy experience in the business world has also allowed me to teach business English with confidence.

I love teaching, I have 8 years teaching experience in Thailand, teaching English as a second language (ESL) to a wide range of students from Elementary level right through to PhD Students. I kind of fell into teaching when I came to live here in Thailand, I was asked to help at the local school teaching conversation skills to the local students. I really enjoyed this and wanted to do more, I got the teaching bug! I would describe my teaching style as very interactive. I prefer to create a teaching environment that encourages critical thinking and elicits responses from my students rather than having them merely retain and repeat information. I make use of different websites and encourage my students to read to improve both vocabulary and fluency.
