I don't believe there is only one proper way of teaching and learning so my teaching is adaptive and imaginative. I encourage critical thinking in my classroom and create a supportive atmosphere where students feel comfortable to open up and practice their language skills. I believe that learning a language should be a fun and enjoyable adventure and an opportunity to learn not only different languages but also different cultures and traditions.

As a teacher I love when my lessons are funny and interesting. No matter what level you have BASIC, INTERMEDIATE or ADVANCED, we can learn regularly new vocabulary, improve your writing in all types of texts, reading, become more confident at speaking and listening , and progress with grammar.

I care about speaking normally (correctly) -that means correcting things. I don't say "it's ok.. people will understand. Students often know grammar, but don't know how to use things, eg: I have to/I should/I must or I'm going/I'm going to go/I will go, etc. # I want to teach you to use them like native people. I also teach pronunciation and can help you using pronunciation form your language (if I know it). I can teach the speaking section of IELTS and TOEFL. I can help you to answer the questions well.

I like to believe that I approach teaching from a different perspective than most teachers. The most important step for me to do in my lessons is it to put myself in the student's shoes. If I were the student, would I understand this? What would be difficult to understand? How can it be done in a simpler way? I also put a lot of my energy in connecting with my students to learn more about them, where they come from and their reasons for learning the language. I think building strong connection with the students really effects the learning process.

After receiving my CELTA Certificate 10 years ago I started teaching in an academy called Trinity Language Institute in Sant Cugat del Vallès. I was there teaching a range of levels for 2 years including in-company classes. After learning the ropes I decided to turn Self-Employed and fully dedicate my time to In-Company classes. I have also been examining Cambridge exams for 6 years.

I have taught English for more than 5 years now. I'm an ELICOS teacher in Melbourne, Australia at the moment. As a classroom teacher, I deal with adult international students. My students come from a diverse background: South America, Europe, Asia, Middle East and India.

I think of myself more as an English coach. There is so much more involved in learning English than rules and book knowledge. I am not a professional English teacher, so I am not qualified to actually TEACH English/Spanish/Catalan, but I can help you/your child PRACTICE. I do not have any teaching materials (workbooks or exercise books). Any readings we do in class, the student should find for themselves. But working with me (a native speaker) will help you improve your speaking, writing and reading skills in an informal and casual way!

I love teaching kids as well as adults of diverse ages and backgrounds in a variety of settings. I have various materials which includes flashcards, picture dictionaries, grammar and vocabulary textbooks as well as a vast array of general English learning materials .

I am a qualified TEFL English and Advanced Business English tutor. I also hold certificates in teaching Test Preparation for TOEIC and IELTS. I worked as a trainer in the UK care industry for 15 years, teaching students from all around the world the English skills needed to work in the NHS and private healthcare sectors.

I have been teaching for 4 years, I'm proud of the experience I have accumulated and I think working online is the next step in my career growth. I started my experience by working in summer school where I taught international teenagers, then went on to teach in a Spanish nursery school. The following year, I worked in Egypt teaching adults and then I worked in Japan for 2 years teaching children and adults. During my second year in Japan, I became senior teacher in a school that taught children. This experience really enhanced my teaching because I became a lot more creative with the kind of activities I do and I started using similar games and activities with my adult students.

I have been teaching English for 26 years and I have a Certificate in TEFLA (CELTA), an Advanced Certificate in TESOL and an MA in Applied Linguistics and TESOL. I was the editor of a Teacher Education journal in Japan for eight years and I taught at universities there for 15 years. I have been teaching pre-sessional courses at the University of Glasgow since 2015 so I have a lot of experience in preparing students for the cultural and academic expectations in an English-speaking university setting. The goal of the pre-sessional courses is for the students to attain an IELTS-equivalent score of 6.5 or 7. In addition, I have been teaching scuba diving and first aid since 2002.

I am a TEFL qualified teacher who has experience within language school's teaching classes to children under 16 and private lessons with Adult learners. In my current full time job, I work in pension administration, but I also teach English online in my free time. I have taught English online part time for over a year on other platforms, but I am new to Italki.
