I was a English teacher in two schools in China. Im certified in TEFL and I specialize in conversational English. I wanted to become a teacher because I believe learning a language is a gift. I have always had a fascination with the English language and from a very young age I played 'schools' with my poor little sister. Around 4 years ago, I decided to leave rainy England and move abroad to Colombia. I finished CELTA training and moved to Cali, Colombia to teach in a public school. Since then I have lived and taught English in Colombia, Panama and I now live and teach in Spain! I have experience teaching one-on-one private lessons, in public schools, colleges and language schools as well as freelance. I also have experience teaching students from complete beginner to advanced and of all ages.

I think of myself more as an English coach. There is so much more involved in learning English than rules and book knowledge. It’s important to know English rules, however “everyday natural English” is often very different. A number of factors help us to sound natural. In the past, I’ve had an opportunity to assist native adult speakers with their English skills. This experience has played a role in how I help current students.
