Hi everyone, I am a native German speaker and am teaching German part-time next to my profession as an Illustrator. I am originally from Hamburg, lived for 4 years in London, and now I live in Barcelona. I love the different cultures all mixed in the city and all the art and design this city has to offer, but also love to escape to nature and going for long walks and maybe a dip into the sea in between. I love to meet new people and talk about all kinds of topics of our current time and lives. I enjoy traveling, reading, learning, going for food and get a better understanding of other cultures.

Ik als leerkracht

I already have experience teaching students and adults and have a lot of fun to get to know new people from lots of different places and converse with you about your interests, your opinions and your culture while teaching you German. I like to prepare classes individually for my students to keep the motivation going. As well I try to form a positive environment, so you feel comfortable.

Mijn lessen en manier van lesgeven

I like to work with different materials like videos, audios and texts for example, to give you an allround-approach in which you can improve your listening, reading and speaking skills. If you like to as well improve your writing skills we can include this via homework assignments. Individually for your needs I will add some grammar exercises in areas where I notice weaknesses or/and if you are a beginner. Further we will discuss in your first trial lesson as well if you would like to put an emphasis on any specific area like conversation or grammar. My main goal is, that you can talk in German about the things that you like to talk about and enjoy the classes.

Laura is wonderful to talk to. She listens and asks questions and explains things very clearly in German. By the end of the lesson she lets you know what to work on. Looking forward to the next sessions!

Laura is an excellent teacher. She is very patient. She has many tools and gives great feedback. She encourages you to speak more, but doesn't make you feel bad when she corrects you. She has great tips and advice for pronunciation.
