Giulia is such a sweet and amazing human! She’s not only caring and tries to engage with having genuine conversations, but also explains concepts and breaks down the rules clearly and constructively for easier learning. She paces the lessons well, trying to fit to your preference always. Just let her know which areas you do not understand, she will be extremely encouraging. It is obvious she is experienced, whether or not she’s taught professionally it doesn’t matter to me. She’s very relatable and enthusiastic, sometimes bringing up song lyrics, or other websites to change things up in her pedagogy. Finally, she’s supportive and patient. She waits and pauses at the right moments if she thinks you need time to absorb information or write down notes. Sometimes, when you get lost, she’ll repeat the explanation slowly and carefully go through the steps once again. This ensures the confidence to learn without judgment and to know it’s ok to make mistakes. Thank you! :)

Giulia was fabulous, as always. This week we hit upon a particularly satisfying mix of general chat along with some more technical work. One of the joys of studying with Giulia is that, with her patience and encouragement, I always feel able to try using my Italian in more advanced ways. I feel excited to have started on a journey from communicating in Italian to communicating well in Italian.

What a joy to study with Giulia! She is a beautiful person on both the inside and outside. Her energy comes through the phone and her love for everything Italy . She is creative and engaging. My lessons with Giulia are always a delightful way to spend an hour. She is a charming, engaging and ever interesting conversationalist. I go into every lesson knowing that I’ll learn a lot of Italian, a lot about Italian culture and that I’ll have a lot fun doing so.
