Hello! My name is Gabe and I am a native English speaker from San Francisco, California, USA, and I am currently living in Beijing, China. I have been a full-time physical education teacher for 4 years in the United States and I currently teach high school P.E. at Tsinghua University International School here in Beijing. I am a passionate Chinese learner myself, so I am excited to help you on your English learning journey! 你好！我是莫青山。我是美国旧金山来的所以我的母语是英文。我学了中文一年了，因为我现在是在清华附中国际部体育老师。我的中文水平差不多HSK-4，所以我认为我能教会中国人说英文特别好。我的英文口音是非常表君的。

Ik als leerkracht

I am a physical education teacher, so I am not technically trained as a language teacher. However, I work at an international school, so all of my students are currently learning English, and I teach P.E. in a way that is specifically designed for them to improve their English skills during class. Most of my students are Chinese, and I can talk to my students and do parent-teacher conferences in Chinese as well. After spending the last year learning Chinese, I am excited to transition into language teaching!

Based on my own experience learning Chinese, I believe that the best way to learn a language is to have frequent conversations about topics that often occur in your day-to-day life. During our lessons, I would like to do free-talk sessions, during which I can do three things: -correct your grammar -correct your pronunciation -add new words to your vocabulary (as they naturally arise) This method is much better than learning from a book, because it is fun, interesting, and allows you to learn the language in ways that are relevant to you. 我最喜欢方法是聊天儿。这个方法给你机会学新与你生活相关的词汇。而且，我们可以改正你的常说的语法错。我们一边好玩儿，一边进步。
