Teaching has always been something I wanted to do, from my very childhood. I really started when I was in high school, I would give privates classes in every subject, then I got step by step specialised in French due to my language assistant job. This consists in going into classrooms of secundary students to help them and the teacher to improve their French. Besides, I studied with the Alliance Française (an institution that gives French classes all over the world) to complete my experience with theoric background. Mijn lessen en manier van lesgeven
I like being concrete and to do so, I get to know my students to pick examples that will make the most sense to them. If possible, I incorporate games or fun activities in the planning as I'm convinced that is one of the best way to learn, I benefited a lot from it myself. Also, I use a lot of images, gestures or definitions as even if I know the native language of my students, I use French as much as possible, adapting the level and the speed for a more effective learning. Moreover, I can rely on what I learnt with the Alliance Française to create and organise my lesson plans efficiently and professionally.5.0

Great practice before an oral proficiency interview - warmup. Thank you! Marvin is very accessible and reliable and has an outstanding command of French grammar. I asked him some pretty targeted and pointed questions on grammar specifics, and he was able to answer them immediately without hesitation or references. Very impressive!

Every time I speak with Marvin, my understanding of French gets better and better. The conversation flows naturally even though I am still quite a beginner. I strongly recommend Marvin! I can't wait until the next class!

Patient and very understanding. Make sure you are at least A2 level before arranging a lesson- my fault but Marvin was still very professional and understanding! Would have been great to have him as a teacher if my level was better.
