I have taught English for ten years in three different countries: Taiwan, Germany and Turkey. Each place presented students with contrasting learning styles and in each place I taught learners of different levels. I find Beginners fun to teach because I can play games and address a variety of useful language topics with them, but more advanced learners are also appealing simply because we can cover a greater variety of real-world material. I acquired a CELTA certificate in 2015, and currently I am working on the DELTA. Mijn lessen en manier van lesgeven
My style of teaching is very student-centered, and my goal in each lesson is for the students to produce as much as possible with whatever content we are learning. I believe in a task-based approach in which the students can learn through doing while the teacher facilitates and guides them. I often use pictures, charts or videos to help illustrate word meanings or to provide a context, and I try to avoid straight-forward lecturing. However, if students do need grammar points explained to them, I can do so concisely and provide quick and useful examples.Certificaten

In this lesson, we learned the usage of modal verbs, and the difference between can and be able to. We also revised a composition. Peter pointed out some mistakes in my composition and taught me some new plots. These giant books can make my composition more vivid and beautiful. Thank you for teaching me so much. I learned a lot in this class.
