My coursework included classes in political science, world history, French, world religion and culture. I also completed a study abroad semester at the University of East Anglia, Norwich, U.K.  My formal training in teaching English is from Oxford Seminars, where I earned my TESOL certification. I have over 2 years experience as an online English tutor, teaching students from all around the world.  I have participated in conversation clubs, teaching English to foreign students in both the U.K. and France.  I have worked as a counselor, teaching adaptive technology and skills for the blind, both in the United States and on the Caribbean island of St. Lucia.  My interests include current events, music, chess, foreign languages, and learning about lifestyles and customs in other countries around the world. I believe that speaking and listening skills are critical to gaining confidence and mastery of any language. As your tutor, I will encourage you to speak about the things that interest you.
