Decidí ser profesor cuando tenía 14 años. Yo era un mal estudiante que odiaba las asignaturas de lengua española e inglés. Olvidé ese sueño para estudiar electrónica e ingeniería mecánica. Tuve que aprender inglés por mi cuenta al terminar la universidad, y desde entonces me encantan los idiomas. Comencé ayudando a una amiga mía a aprender inglés y descubrí lo que realmente me gusta. Llevo siendo tutor aquí en Italki desde marzo de 2017 y he aprendido mucho más de mis alumnos que en cualquier curso académico. Creo mucho más en la comunicación real y en el amor por los idiomas que en la gramática, que utilizo solo como herramienta en casos puntuales.

Tengo larga experiencia en la enseñanza de español como lengua extranjera, tanto presencial como en internet. En total más de 3.000 horas. Además, trabajo como profesor de lengua y literatura española en institutos de secundaria. Lo mejor de enseñar es que aprendes cosas nuevas cada día.

Me encanta enseñar y creo firmemente que nunca esta de más brindarle tu conocimiento a otras personas que lo necesitan a la vez que haces algo bueno por los demás, también haces algo lindo por tu corazón.

Durante años compaginé mis estudios y mis trabajos dando clases de apoyo (sobre todo de francés) a niñas y niños de entre 6 a 15 años, y he comprendido que cada persona es un mundo. --> Yo, por ejemplo, para memorizar cosas, tengo que crear imágenes mentales creando relaciones de colores, letras, dibujos… por eso soy horrible haciendo operaciones matemáticas, memorizando textos o recordando nombres y fechas SI NO LOS RELACIONO CON ALGO. --> Cada persona tiene su método y proceso de aprendizaje. Mi experiencia en la docencia, sobre ten Italki, ha sido espectacular y emocionante. I started teaching when I was in the University and I needed some extra money. I found out that I have very good communication skills, I mean that I can explain the same thing from different points of view to make the student understand a lesson. Help people learning is my goal, my challenge, and I love it. Other skill that I have is my huge patience, so I can repeat a lesson all the times necessary with good mood and a smile. Finally I got my degree in Psychology in 2010 (that also helps me to be better teacher) and I decided to study and become an official Spanish language teacher, certified by Instituto Cervantes.

I have been teaching online since 2015. Along this time I have worked with beginner through advanced students. I love to see how they improve their Spanish and reach their goals, such as developing their vocabulary and being able to better express their ideas. As a teacher I am flexible, pacient, creative and responsible.

I had the opportunity to work on a ship, travel, and knowing amazing people from many different countries. This experience helped me to understand that although learning a new language is a challenge, the power to connect with people from different cultures is invaluable. I can speak English whenever you need it, however, we will develop different skills from the beginning to use just Spanish.

Since I was a child I was very interested in languages. I started philology studies but life took me along a different path, until I was 23 years old and I came across International House Bogotá, where I found that this is what I want to be. I really enjoy meeting new people. Listening to their stories and history and learning from their experience. Desde niña sentí gran interés por la lengua. Comencé estudios de filología pero cosas de la vida cambiaron mi rumbo. Cuando tenía 23 años encontré International House Bogotá y mi interés reapareció.
