I am a professional online Spanish and English teacher. I graduated La Universidad Martín Luter in Estelí, Nicaragua. I have been teaching Spanish as a Second Language for over 10 years to students from all over Europe, US and Canada.

I like having a positive attitude and I consider this is really important in learning a new language. I like to make the classes enjoyable and meaningful, the most important thing for me is that you can feel comfortable with the language and also to make you feel motivated and excited with the learning process, I like to create a connection between the language and the culture so you will be able to understand more about Mexico and the Spanish that we speak.

After I finished highschool, I joined college to study English and Spanish. I studied a wide variety of subjects, such as Literature, Grammar, Linguistics, Phonology, and Discourse Analyses, among others. I have spent the last seven years learning this amazing phenomenon called language. Nowadays, I have an associate degree in Translation, a certification as a Spanish teacher and I am finishing a Bachelor's Degree in Translation and Linguistics. Apart from studying, I have worked as a teacher. I have experience in teaching both languages to teenagers and adults, from beginner to advanced levels. I have resources to teach grammar, written expression, vocabulary, reading and conversation.

He trabajado en colegios y ambientes educativos desde hace seis años, en Chile, Suecia, Nueva Zelanda, India y actualmente en Vietnam. After some time in Dublin I decided to study for a Master’s Degree in teaching Spanish as a foreign language. I was so curious about sharing my language and my culture with people from other countries. When I completed my studies, I moved to Italy where I have been living since. I have had the oportunity to teach people of different ages with different interests which has broadened my experience as a teacher. My passion to learn other languages helps me empathise with students, facilitating the planning of the course.

El lenguaje y la comunicación me apasionan mucho, quizás soy un poco temática con las reglas del idioma (sobre todo de mi lengua materna xD), pero con el fin de poder contribuir a la buena difusión de esa parte de mi cultura que es el lenguaje. Pero no te preocupes, no seré tan ruda, pienso firmemente que el principal objetivo de aprender o reforzar un idioma es lograr COMUNICARTE, y ese es el primer paso. Después de eso ya vendrán las correcciones técnicas. Conmigo lo primero que aprenderás es a entender y a hacerte entender. Con eso habrás dado un paso importantísimo. Pero si ya piensas que estás bastante avanzado, ahora sí me centraré en ayudarte con las correcciones más técnicas.

I love speaking with people in Spanish, helping them to find more confidence, to be more at ease, and to enjoy this beautiful language. What motivates me the most is seeing people go from unconfident and shy in the language, to being really open, happy and confident in their spoken Spanish. Since I have arrived in New Zealand, I have been teaching Spanish to the locals here. I love it, and I want to share some more with the rest of the world.
