I’m a Spanish (a foreign language) teacher. I had the opportunity to gain experience giving lessons in school for foreign students of Universidad Veracruzana. Both my parents were teachers so I guess teaching is in my blood. Whenever a student reaches a goal, speaks fluently or passes an exam, it makes me so happy and so proud of him/her. It's as simply (or complicated) as that. As a student of many other languages I know the struggles the students go through, so my job is not only teaching the language per se but also identifying these obstacles and help the students tackle them

My proposals are flexible and adaptable, there is no one way to get there. I establish a good work climate, enthusiasm and good vibes. Establezco un buen clima de trabajo, entusiasmo y buena onda para que el alumno se sienta cómodo porque corrigiendo todo el tiempo se inhiben y cuesta más lograr que avancen. Tomo registro de los errores que cometen para a partir de ahí ayudarlos a mejorar. Comienzo las clases realizando un repaso de lo último que vimos. Me fijo mucho en crear un vínculo y en captar su interés, en lo que necesita porque una persona se va a animar más a hablar sobre los temas que sabe.

I have learnt different language in my life (English, French, Italian and Portuguese), so I know really well the process of learning a language, the high and the low moments and what motivates students to keep on.

I am a professional English, French and Spanish teacher. I have my TESOL certification. I have taught for 14 years to children, teenagers and adults giving either private or group lessons.

I'm friendly and enthusiastic. I try to improve student's Spanish level but I try to give then confidence for talking even if their Spanish is not perfect. Spanish to me is my life, I teach, I write and I research in Spanish, so I intend to show this passion into the class.

I do my best to make them as fun and interactive as possible :) The most important for me is that my students can gain confidence in their speaking skills. My teaching approach is based on multimedia resources such as videos, songs, images and audio files. During our first interview, I will test your level to provide you with pedagogical materials adapted to your needs. I also work as a DELF test examiner. Además de mi lengua materna, hablo inglés, francés y alemán, certificados en nivel avanzado con las pruebas IELTS, DALF y DaF. Realicé mi formación como profesor en la Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, donde obtuve el título de Magíster en Lingüística Aplicada del Español como Lengua Extranjera. Durante alrededor de 2 años he trabajado como profesor de español para extranjeros, profesor de inglés y profesor de francés en instituciones como la Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, AVANTI, Whee Institute, Virtual Language Classes y Move On Academy, con estudiantes de todo tipo: niños, adolescentes y adultos, de niveles de lengua de básico a avanzado, en contextos tanto presenciales como virtuales.

Intento que mis clases sean didácticas, amenas y tranquilas. Me focalizo en las necesidades e intereses de cada estudiante. Soy paciente y empática pues escucho con atención cuando un alumno tiene problemas al resolver un ejercicio y lo apoyo de una manera educada y asertiva. El cometer errores es uno de los miedos más comunes en cualquier estudiante, pero animo a mis alumnos a hablar. No importa que se equivoquen. Corregiremos y aprenderemos de ellos.

Decidí ser profesora porque un día mi padre me dijo que el conocimiento es lo único que nadie podrá arrebatarme, por lo que comprendí que el mejor aporte que puedo hacer a una persona es la enseñanza. Ahora bien, soy estudiante de biología y mi aspiración es ser profesora, cosa que ya he experimentado, pues tengo experiencia laboral como profesora asistente en bioquímica médica, en la cual además de dictar tutorías y clase complementaria, preparaba material para evaluar los conocimientos aprendidos en la clase magistral. Así mismo soy estudiante de teatro por lo que disfruto el trabajo en equipo y soy muy paciente, características indispensables en la enseñanza de un idioma.

I had the chance to have great language teachers at school and I naturally decided to become one and travel the world to teach French. Learning and speaking other languages (I recently took the C2-level Spanish DELE and I'm learning Portuguese) allows me to put myself in my students' shoes and have a better understanding about their difficulties.

Por algunos años he estudiado inglés por mi cuenta y recientemente empecé con el francés, esto me ha permitido entender las dificultades que un estudiante tiene y a desarrollar estrategias para aprender un idioma extranjero.
