He sido profesora por más de 5 años, aquí en Colombia he enseñado inglés a niños de 5 años, niños de primaria, secundaria y también a adultos. Comprendo lo difícil que puede llegar a ser aprender otro idioma, así que de aquella experiencia como maestra he podido desarrollar estrategias de enseñanza que te ayudarán a aprender ESPAÑOL. También he trabajado con personas de otros países, que deciden venir a enseñar en Colombia y a aprender el español, así que comprendo el proceso por el cual un aprendiz de español puede vivir.

Soy Licenciada en Pedagogía Infantil, por ello comprendo la importancia de la educación inicial en el ser humano y uno de sus aspectos más importantes es el uso del lenguaje, es decir construir los pensamientos y la capacidad de interpretar la realidad a través escuchar y hablar. Esto es fundamental en el momento en el que te propongas aprender un nuevo idioma. ser profesora en Italki me da la oportunidad de ayudar a las personas a permitirse pensar, comprender, escuchar, leer y hablar del mundo en un idioma no nativo, en este caso en español. As a teacher I will focus on your goals and interests to design personalized exercises and classes for you. However, I follow the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) contents according to your level. I have different materials for all levels and objectives. I am patient, motivating and I really enjoy teaching and helping others.

I teach Italian, German, English, Spanish, Russian, French, Dutch, Catalan, Portuguese, Greek, Hindi, Arabic and Esperanto (at different levels). I specialise in multilingual teaching (up to 10 languages in one course) and I am a certified language examiner for English, Italian, Russian, French, German and Spanish. I hold an MA in International Communication, an MA in Didactics, two BAs in Translating and Interpreting and a CELTA (Certification in English Language Teaching to Adults).

My teaching journey began in 2015, as a volunteer English teacher for children in New Delhi, India. In 2019 I thought online English to refugee youth in Aguascalientes, Mexico. Later, in 2020, I began giving conversational English classes and teaching on-site Spanish classes for children. Through my years of experience, I have acquired the needed skills to understand the best methods for my students to develop their language skills while overcoming their insecurities and gaining the knowledge and confidence to fully use their language in their day-to-day life.

As a teacher I like to be PROFESSIONAL with my students, but my golden value is the EMPATHY. I always encourage my students to speak Spanish at any level and when you are learning a language is really important to have CONFIDENCE ON YOURSELF, so I will always encourage you to not be afraid about doing mistakes, because making mistake is the progress. Are you freeze when you are speaking with a native? Let´s practice and for sure you will progress and loose your fear. The key is practice and practice. Let´s do it.

Learning English and working as a teacher have helped me to understand the difficulties that students face when learning Spanish. I prepare the lessons in a way that will allow (allows) you to overcome them. I use English during the lessons when necessary, but always try to use Spanish first, adapting my speaking speed and word choice to the student's level. I want my students to take full advantage of the lessons, and I think speaking Spanish most of the time is an important part of that.

I really enjoy connecting with people and teaching what I know. If I have to describe myself as a teacher.. I'd say that I'm pretty easy-going, cheerful and fun to talk to. I'm very responsible and serious about what I do and I expect the same kind of commitment from my students.

Tengo más de cinco años de experiencia como maestra de educación artística lo cuál me ha ayudado a desarrollar más habilidades de las que creí ocupar al comenzar mi carrera profesional. He aprendido a planear un rumbo para llegar a una meta y al mismo tiempo descubrir que se pueden tomar otros caminos para llegar más rápido, también sé ponerme en el lugar de mis estudiantes en este proceso de aprendizaje por el que ellos están pasando, ya que he experimentado el aprender un nuevo idioma y la satisfacción de conversar con personas nativas durante este aprendizaje.
