I'm friendly, flexible and very patient. I like discussing various topics such as music, films, food, technologies, traveling, culture, etc. I'm good at explaining grammar, so you can ask me any questions about that. I prefer not to push but to inspire, and individual approach is my main principle. I let the students study at their own pace, and I always try to find the best way to help them achieve their goals. I'm happy to see how my lessons help my students to travel, to communicate with their family members, to find work in another country, to get another citizenship, etc. I also hope I can help people from different countries understand each other better.

I am a professional teacher of Russian as a foreign language. I am a graduate of Moscow State University and a teacher at MGIMO University. I have been working with foreign students from all over the world for 4 years. I teach all aspects of the Russian language: speaking, writing, reading, listening and grammar and I also specialize in the development of spoken language and training of Russian pronunciation.

I am a licensed EFL teacher and specialize in grammar and accent reduction. I've been helping my students prepare for EIKEN ever since I came to Japan. I myself had to take TOEFL iBT back when I was applying to the University of Minnesota and I easily got 110 points which is the equivalent of EIKEN 1. If you are preparing for either EIKEN or TOEFL, I have the materials, qualifications, and experience necessary to help you succeed.

I have experience in teaching English-speaking students offline in groups. I usually teach adults and teens from zero to intermediate level knowledge. I will help to make the first step in learning Russian. If you already know Russian a little, I will help to improve it.

Achievements of my students: 1. One of my students entered Middlebury Language School with the highest score in Russian this year. I helped her with tests and interviews. In the future, she is planning to teach Russian in the university herself. 2. More than 40 students already visited Russia and Ukraine as tourists after learning from me. Some of them found here their future spouses. 3. I help my students to reduce their accent and I also worked as an accent trainer for an American TV show (the show was about spies). 4. 2 of my students applied for The Fulbright scholarship program, and both of them won the contest. They start learning from me as beginners, now they work and live in Russia.

As a person who's learned 3 foreign languages from a beginner to a proficient level, I'd like to say that it is an exciting adventure to new culture and the world! That is because when you learn a new language, you not only learn new grammar and new words, you also learn new culture and new way of thinking. There is a proverb in Turkish language: "You live a new life for every new language you speak. If you know only one language, you live only once". I've been working as a teacher for a long time. Hello! I am new on Italki. My name is Alina and I am a Russian language teacher. Few years ago I graduated with a masters degree in Philology, specializing in Russian as a Foreign Language. I worked at universities in Vietnam and in Russia. Now I work as a RSL tutor online, and as an ESL teacher for kids in China offline. During my lessons we use an online whiteboard, which is available for a student after a trial lesson. Russian is my native language, I was born and live since childhood in Moscow, I have very standard Russian with classic Moscow pronunciation and vocabulary. I am perfectly fluent in English and German. I don't "feel" these languages as good as I feel Russian, but I know German and English grammar through and through due to my university background.

I have a Master's degree in Linguistics and teaching Russian as a second language, now I'm studying for my PhD.
