Redijo e falo Português com propriedade em todos os níveis. (I am a public school teacher with academic training, full degree and registration issued by MEC (Ministry of Education and Culture) of Brazil. Gosto de utilizar o método comunicativo, porque entendo que ele é mais eficiente quando pensamos no uso linguístico cotidiano. I like to use the comunicative method cause I think it's the most efficient related to the linguistic area in our routine.

I have experience teaching foreign speakers and i always try to be as didactic as possible. I'm extremely patient, so never hesitate to ask me a thousand times if it seems necessary to you because I'll be very happy to take all your doubts away! I'm Certified as level C2 in Spanish by the "Instituto Cervantes" and a graduate in English of the "Rockfeller Language Center".

I usually analyze the student's profile to be able to teach in the best possible way. I am very patient and attentive. As a Community tutor, I like to teach taking questions from students. My teaching method focuses on practicing conversation, using casual language to simulate daily conversation. Vocabulary, pronunciation, intonation, and grammar are taught naturally as the conversation evolves.

I've always helped my friends who chose to learn Portuguese with their spelling, grammar, pronunciation, idiomatic expressions and other issues they might have. Besides that, I've been teaching Spanish to Brazilians for a year and a half now, and I've recently started teaching Portuguese to foreigners. I love learning and teaching languages and I see it as a way to improve myself and getting to know new people. I truly believe that learning a language can change someone's life and I'm here to help other people do so.

As a teacher, I really aim to motivate my students to learn as much as they can and to achieve their goals in their target language. I use Paulo Freire's critical pedagogy to connect the student's life and interests to the class's content, sparking meaningful reflections and debates.

Learning a new language not only requires patience, but also the ability to keep oneself motivated and that's why I'll always encourage you to find new ways to relate to the language you're learning. That can simply be done by watching, for example a YouTube channel on a topic you like and sharing it in class. Searching for content in a different language can be tricky since most times you'll see yourself struggling to find the perfect balance between those that meet your language level and the topics you're interested in at the same time, so here's where I'll help the most.
