I've been a community tutor here in Italki for a good time and I like it because it gives me the opportunity to get to know different people and learn a lot with them. I like to teach clearly and easily. I prepare my lessons taking in consideration the student's prior knowledge and how can I help him to learn without being frustrating. I have a degree in English and Translation Studies from UFRGS, in Brazil, and I have been teaching English and Portuguese for the past seven years, in both schools and to private students. My students have ages that go from little infants in their oralization process up to adults, with several different levels of language knowledge and goals. Meus alunos tem idades que variam desde bebês no processo de oralização em pré-escolas, até adultos, com diversos níveis de conhecimento prévio e objetivos.

Me formei em uma universidade em São Paulo em Letras Português/Inglês. Tenho experiência com aulas particulares e gosto desse formato por poder dar toda a minha atenção que o estudante precisa. Minha satisfação é poder contribuir com alguém por meio da educação! Já dei aulas de Português e Inglês para algumas turmas na época da graduação e também já dei aula para refugiados em São Paulo em um projeto da faculdade. Estou atuando como professora de Inglês por dois anos, e tenho amado essa profissão. Tenho experiência ensinando inglês para crianças, jovens e adultos.

I am a resourceful and motivated ESL and Portuguese teacher with three years’ teaching experience with young learners (children and teenagers) as well as adults. I am CELTA qualified and I have lived and taught during one year in China, so I feel confident and experienced working with learners who do not share the same mother tongue as I do. I have also volunteered with WWOOF in Europe, so I have lived in France, UK, Croatia and Greece, which helped me understand my passion for languages and different cultures.
