I am organised, patient, supportive and passionate about teaching Korean to students. Whatever level you are at in learning Korean I assess your levels, needs and additional support for you to suit your ability. I make sure my students achieve the best outcome in my lesson and I am ready to support you to achieve your potential. To sum up, I am highly qualified and have a high standard teaching. I have created my own textbook which is an amalgamation of the best parts of the Korean textbooks. I use a lot of images to help the student speak and then develop sentences using everyday words and grammar. My aim is to encourage students to speak in Korean and improve their confidence.

I'm enjoying helping people. I could figure out the student's strong point or weak point very quickly. so that, I can teach them effectively. I've been teaching several types of students who learn fast, slow, can read-only or can speak-only. I understand that one of the important things for better learning of the second language is motivation. I know how to motivate students. this is one of my strong points. I also can cover most of the Korean areas such as academic purpose, TOPIK, KIIP, a Job interview and document review. I'd like to talk about first before I start to teach with the student.

Before teaching Korean I taught English to Korean teenagers over 10 years in Seoul. I'm a TESOL qualified teacher. Just before coming to Milan, I got a degree and a certificate in teaching Korean to foreigners. Experience teaching English was helpful for me to teach Korean. In Milan, I taught Korean at Universita Della Terza eta. My first students were beginners without knowing the Korean alphabet. Most of all they were busy and could spend only one hour a week. But after one year they could read it and talk simple dialogue.

I’m interested in not only learning foreign languages but also in teaching Korean to international learners. During my university years, I taught Korean to exchange students from different backgrounds and helped them achieve their goals. I usually correct their journals written in Korean and help them improve their conversational skills in formal and informal settings. I also taught Korean to adult learners who prepared for the TOPIK exam and they've got level 4-6 on that exam. I realized, however, that there is a huge gap between what I know and being a teacher to someone. That motivates me to study Second Language Acquisition deeply, so I took a lot of TESOL/TKSOL classes in college.

When I was in Korean, I taught Japanese to Korean students and after came to Australia, I taught Korean to foreigners as a Korean tutor. For this, I completed a Korean language teacher program. I would love to help you study Korean in an easy way and try to do my best to improve your Korean

After graduation, I wanted to study more about other things. Then I've realized I have some talent for teaching because many people around me have said to me so. It's also true that I like to help other people, so I started to study 'Teaching Korean' to get certification for about a year. I've been teaching Korean on Italki for about 3 years and I have an experience that I tutored my friend and her daughter living in their country, Norway. Now I can say it's my full-time job which I really enjoy. I think I'm so grateful to have this job because it's always enjoyable even though when I'm tired.

I like to test lots of methods myself as I still consider myself a student to be able to decide which way would be better for the students to learn faster, whenever I practice a new way in learning I apply it with my students and I find this really helpful cause I always experience new ways.

I find it rewarding when I share what I know about the Korean language. I like to see how much students improve and get fluent after they spend time learning Korean with me. I was told that I am passionate as a teacher and listen to their preferences so that they see their opinion is a part of their lessons.

I have many years of teaching experience,teaching different languages to people from different countries and different backgrounds. My lessons are customized for students. [For beginners], I usually start by improving my students' reading skill and then move to grammar lessons using grammar textbooks, pictures, flashcards etc..I assign homework. [For intermediate/advanced learners], the most focus here will be on your speaking skill and your ability to speak more in different topics (I will correct your grammar and pronunciation mistakes when it's needed).

I love to talk about something I like to someone who is interested in that topic. That's why I like teaching languages, because I love them. I've been teaching English and Korean for several years, and every time I saw my students got progress, I was so happy for that. I do understand it's hard to speak foreign languages myself, because I got through that moment as well. But don't worry. Don't feel small. Don't get stressed with that.
