I have been teaching Japanese and Spanish for many years. I can teach Japanese in Spanish and English. I have learned English and Spanish so I do understand how difficult to learn a new language is. I've started teaching Japanese since 2011. Until 2 years ago, I used to teach Japanese on italki as a communicate tutor. While my absence, I’ve studied Japanese education at university to get a certificate in teaching Japanese, then I'm back again!

I'm a native Japanese speaker from Kumamoto in Japan, who had lived in Bangkok(8 years), Hanoi(3 years), Newcastle Australia(1 year) and Washington State, U.S.A(2 month). I had moved a lot for teaching Japanese. After traveling in Asia, Europe, and America (33 coutries) I realized there are so many languages and cultures in this world. Since then, I have become a language enthusiast. Thus far, I have learned several languages and of course, I cannot gain fluency in all of them. However, this has helped me conduct easy-to-understand and customized classes for students with diverse language backgrounds.

I am currently living in Melbourne Australia and teaching Japanese to about 30 students. I have taught beginner - advanced students in the last 3 years. Teaching Experience Oct 2016- May 2017: I have taught about 60 students from all over the world on italki. Nov 2016-March 2017: I taught Japanese in Ha Long University in Vietnam May 2017- now: I moved to Melbourne and started teaching Japanese. Qualifications June 2017- Oct 2017: Training Course for Teaching Japanese as a Foreign Language (The World Japanese Language Centre) June 2017- Nov 2018: 420 hour Advanced Japanese Teaching Training Course (The World Japanese Language Centre)

I love both learning and teaching languages. After graduating from the university ,I went to London to study English. After coming back to Japan, I started a small but a unique cafe-style language school in Shimokitazawa in Tokyo with teachers from various countries. We taught English,French,Spanish,Russian,German,Swedish and Korean there. Well...a small physical version of italki so to speak? haha From this experience, I really understand how difficult it is to learn a foreign language as an adult. And how to help them.

I instruct students on how to construct grammatically correct sentences, proper pronunciation, pitch accent, and also improve student’s vocabulary. I welcome students of all levels. For our lessons, we can use a book called Genki, but if you don’t have one, it’s totally no problem. I like playing guitar, which means we can talk about music as well as many other topics.
