I have a Master’s degree in foreign languages taken at the University of Catania. I have been teaching for about 8 years now. I started working at one of the local hospitals in town where I taught English and Spanish to medicine students and doctors. In 2015 I set up a school of languages which I run and where I still teach English and Italian today (along with other fellow teachers). I’m a qualified TEFL teacher, qualification that I got by joining a 120-hour TEFL course, held at school, given by an expert TEFL teacher, and I have got a Certificate of Proficiency in English (level C2). Moreover, I have worked for many companies based in my city.

I worked for various company as a translator and expert advisor. I’ve been teaching privately for over 3 years now, in Skype and Zoom. Teaching online it’s what I really love doing because is so practical and modern, my students loved it. I hope you come have a trial lesson with me.

Since 2009, I've been giving Italian Language and Culture courses to adults, including managers and university students. I am very friendly when I teach, because this kind of approach helps students to learn a language faster. I do not like to say that teaching is a passive 1 to 1 (or 1 to "N") process, from A to B, since in communication there's a sender and a receiver...which means that it is an equal, continuous exchange of pieces of information between you and me. I will never agree with those ones claiming that the teacher has only to act his or her monologue, while the students in the class take note of what the professor is saying. The teacher's duty is to understand the student's needs, and communication helps. So, at the question "what kind of teacher are you?", the answer lies here.

Sono una persona molto simpatica e allegra e quindi sento di poter essere un tutor che insegna in allegria e con cui si può parlare di tutto dalle cose più banali ai temi più importanti oggi, di famiglia e di sport. Sono un insegnante che riuscirà con spensieratezza e sorriso a farvi apprendere una lingua tanto difficile.
