I am patient and I have listening skills, a characteristic that allows me to meet the needs of all and to study learning programs adapted to the objectives of each person. Hello everybody. My name is Ivana. I am from Serbia. I know it might be "not so much attractive" to hear that someone is from Serbia or another Balkan country but the best thing about this is that I can teach you serbian, croatian, bosnian, montenegrian:-). I would say these languages are all the same with small regional differences and it is a kind of political issue that we all call it differently. I know that many people prefer native speakers, but it can sometimes be tricky. The native speakers are good teachers only if they are foreign langauge teachers, believe me. I also teach latin and italian so I think I could be a good choice for you:-)

Posso altresì guidarti attraverso la nostra grammatica e la nostra dialettica a parlare di qualsiasi argomento tu abbia bisogno di approfondire. I started teaching Italian as a foreign language in 2003, and I've been teaching online for about three years. I have a University Degree in Translation and a Ditals Certification. I love teaching and I truly enjoy helping my students.

First of all, I would say that I am very "kind" and flexible. I always try to adapt myself on my students' needs, and I think that it is very important to ask and know about my students' interests, hobbies, things they find very difficult when it comes to speaking and studying a new language and so on. I really care about my students and about their progress in learning. I am open to any kind of feedback and any kind of requests in order to make our lessons "better". For example, we could also try to learn a new language with songs!

At university, I studied three foreign languages and then I did a Master's in translation. Studying translation made me aware of the importance of knowing my native language perfectly and throught my foreign language(s) learning I tried many types of exercises. As I am experienced in learning a new language, I feel like I can now help other people with it and adapt myself to their requirements. I am a kind and open-minded person and am also available to speak Spanish with you if it's your native language and you don't feel very comfortable speaking English.

I am certified as a teacher for foreigners at the Università per Stranieri di Siena (DITALS certificate) and I am graduated in Economics at University Bocconi in Milan, besides I have got the Advanced and Proficiency Certicates in English Language from Cambridge University and DALF from Ministère de l' Education nationale française. I tought Italian language abroad and in Italy too, at the Giovanni Pascoli High School in Piacenza. Then I taught and organized Summer Courses to foreign students for many years and I have been giving private lessons in my home.

In base agli obiettivi dei miei studenti posso aiutarli a ottenere una certificazione linguistica riconosciuta dal livello A1 al C2 o approfondire in particolare la conversazione, lo sviluppo di un vocabolario specifico e di espressioni particolari (attualità, lavoro, viaggi, cultura italiana...), la competenza grammaticale, simulare un colloquio di lavoro, ecc. Per me fondamentale nell'apprendimento di una lingua è la motivazione, per cui programmo sempre le lezioni a partire dagli interessi dei miei studenti. Inizio infatti sempre dall'ascolto dei miei studenti, cerco di capire le loro esigenze e di scoprire tutto quello che possa stimolare in loro il piacere di seguire le lezioni con me.

Sono un'insegnante paziente e gioisco ogni volta che vedo i miei studenti fare dei miglioramenti. Infatti, sono davvero molto felice anche quando dei miei amici di altre nazionalità iniziano a studiare l'italiano e li aiuto sempre molto volentieri!

I've been giving online Italian lessons on a sporadic basis for three years. I've really enjoyed getting in touch with people from different cultures. I've helped students at different levels; I've delivered very basic lessons as more advanced ones. I enjoy helping both complete beginners and advanced students. I believe both scenarios present very stimulating challenges for me, and it is very rewarding to see people composing their first sentences in Italian, as it is amazing to see people language skills improve session by session. Also, having learnt two languages myself and studying psychology I know different learning strategies, and so I will be happy to give you useful tips.

Sono giovane ma ho 3 anni di esperienza come insegnate privato e come insegnate in centri linguistici. Amo molto la grammatica e le comprensioni del testo, lavoro molto sulla comunicazione e seguo i miei alunni.
