Durante la pandemia da coronavirus, ho iniziato a dare lezioni private online e ho imparato a utilizzare tanti meravigliosi strumenti per l'e-learning! My career is quite varied. Non costringo le persone a parlare se non sono pronte, preferisco accompagnarle fino al momento in cui riescono a parlare da sole. Ho un ottimo senso dell'umorismo. I am a very laid-back teacher, I love communicating and making the student feel comfortable. I don't force people to speak unless they feel ready, I'd rather accompany them to the point they feel like speaking freely. I have a big sense of humor.

I consider myself a language tutor. In my opinion, the best way to learn a language is to jump in and try to speak it right away, so my approach is not academic but starts from the practice of conversation. I've been a teacher for six years and I do believe that the most important thing is to empathize with the students, which implies these three things: - The student feels at ease during the lesson. - I can adapt to every need the student has. - The lesson is tailor-made.

I have a bachelor's degree in teaching Italian and English as foreign languages and I have experience in teaching to whole school classes but also in training individual students. I really enjoy teaching one-to-one lessons because students get to talk a lot and I can tailor the lesson to every student's needs. Having learned different languages myself, I can totally understand how you feel as a language learner, and thanks to my experience with international students, I have a feeling for the most difficult topics. I started teaching on italki in 2016 as a community tutor and I liked it so much I decided to study and get a certification to be able to teach more: I now offer professional lessons as well as informal tutoring and conversation practice. As a student of languages myself, I know that speaking the target language since the start is the way to progress faster. I also know that a relaxed atmosphere is vital to learn effectively, because our brains work much better when not under pressure... don't panick! If you really don't feel like speaking Italian right away, it's not a big deal: we can use English, French or Norwegian.

I am a serious and charismatic teacher who believes in keeping the student's motivation and interest on the subject in order to get better at it. There is no greater satisfaction than seeing your student progressing and increasingly loving the subject they are studying.

I'm not a strict teacher, I just want to help you improve your italian without stress. I would like to make you talk fluently and teach you idiomatic expressions and correct your accent. Moreover, I think that being able to read and comprehend a text can be very useful if you want to travel to Italy. I don't focus on grammar (even if the grammar is always present when we talk and read)but I can help in case of doubts.
