I have been teaching for the past 5 years privately to teenagers, kids and also adults, therefore I have learned how to approach and model my teaching method according to the student level. Per me risulta fondamentale mettere a proprio agio lo studente, in modo che non si limiti per timore di fare errori, ma al contrario, si senta in uno spazio sicuro che permette la libera pratica e l'apprendimento. Dopotutto, se si ha sempre paura di sbagliare non ci si esercita mai! For me is fundamental to put the student at ease, so that he/she doesn't end up limiting him/herself for fear of making mistakes. The student has to feel him/herself in a safe space, that allows practice and learning. You'll never exercise the language if you're scared of making mistakes!

My goal as a teacher is to create an atmosphere where you don’t feel any pressure, but instead you feel at ease and free to speak.

Sono molto precisa e mi piace dare il massimo in quello che faccio. Mi piace instaurare un rapporto umano con gli allievi e capire i loro interessi in quanto possono essere utili ai fini dell'insegnamento.

Ho una certificazione DITALS I e una PLIDA, insegno sia a chi ha un livello principiante sia a chi ha un livello avanzato, Ho insegnato sia nei gruppi sia in sessioni one to one e non ultimo in corsi full immersion. Il mio metodo si rifà a Carl Rogers (centricità dello studente sia al metodo comunicativo contaminato a tecniche di PNL.

My methodology is based on the communicative approach, and i really like the situational method, but i am pretty flexible. I like to try different lession plans and models in order to find the best strategy for my students according to their needs and interests. I have been working mostly with adults and teenagers, but I would love to challenge myself in teaching with kids or older people!

I’m totally passionate about teaching my mother tongue as well as all aspects of my culture. I am an experienced one-to-one Italian tutor, online and in person, also I'm working in a school as a Italian teacher. I have been teaching Italian to foreigners for many years now, both face to face and online. I obtained the second level of the DITALS, which is the certificate of competence in teaching Italian to foreigners issued by the University for Foreigners of Siena and I have been teaching since 2003. Initially in a private school, then on my own, and I worked with all levels , from the absolute beginner, who are people starting from scratch, to those who have a very high level and simply want to improve their communication skills. I was a speaker at two Polyglot Gatherings and presented some unconventional ideas about learning.

Ho insegnato italiano per quattro anni agli studenti stranieri della mia università e ho anche dato lezioni private sia ad adolescenti e a professionisti. Sono diplomato in ragioneria e ho dato molte ripetizioni su questo settore, quindi posso aiutare gli studenti che intendono migliorare la capacità di esprimersi in un contesto di business. So bene quanto possa essere difficile imparare una nuova lingua e per questo le mie lezioni sono sempre basate sulle richieste specifiche dello studente.

I am a very patient and easy going teacher. I am flexible and can adapt to the student needing. I like to make people at ease, because I understand what it means to be new to a language and not feeling confident in speaking it. To be considered that, since my classes are based on conversational practise, I only teach to students from A2 level. What I usually do is to set up a goal with my student in the first lessons, which can be as different as improving the use of grammar or working on the pronunciation. This helps me to understand the direction to take with my teaching technique, but also helps you to have a clear and concrete objective to reach.

I love teaching because I've always found lovable students who have a lot to share with me in terms of interests and experiences, and it's amazing to give them the possibility to express themselves. I am expert in intermediate levels, so I can help students who are maybe strong at grammar competence or reading skills but still don't arrive to manage a good conversation or to speak fluently. My focus is on practising and getting to know the real culture, avoiding stereotypes about Italian people, and having authentic conversations. I also use strategies to connect the online learning environment with the real context where students live and people around them.
