Conversational Italian classes online

I started to teach italian more than three years ago to people of any nationality and age and I realised that is something that fills me up. I prefer to base the lessons on the conversation and on the practical application of grammar.

Languages, under any perspective, are my main passion, and Italian is the common theme of my academic studies, my working experiences and many of my hobbies. During the last 8 years I have been teaching Italian as L2 both in Italy and Spain and it is a privilege to see my students improving their skills with time.

I love to conversate and teach my native language to foreign language learners. If you speak spanish of french i can also speak in these languages. Precisely because i’m a student of languages too, I’ll know how to help you with your method of studying and I’ll teach you some tricks to improve the learning of a language. Especially with vocabulary. If we are practicing in conversation we’ll always find something to talk about! I’ll stimulate you through questions and both me and you will be part of the dialogue.

My technical knowledge of the language learning process is supported by my personal experience in learning foreign languages. This helps me to find the right balance between grammar, conversation, and ludic activities to keep the lesson light to follow and the interest high. I attended training for Waldorf teachers for two years and got plenty of ideas and experience about teaching more creatively!

I've a lot of experience with different kind of learners: students in school (11-18) and adults.* I'll help you to develop your Italian speaking skills and to get more comfortable in speaking and understanding. I know how hard Italian grammar can be, but I can always find the best way to make it easiest, as I really love it and know it perfectly. * I also teach music and yoga ;)

If there's one thing that gives me joy is talking about languages, their grammatical peculiarities, the culture they originate from and finding similarities with Italian. The only other thing that comes close is being able to communicate proficiently in a foreign language while learning something new in the process. Listening, repeating, speaking, practicing and writing are all key to the learning path and I'll commit to adjust our sessions to whatever method suits you the most.

Ho varie esperienze con ragazzi: li ho aiutati a preparare diverse materie scolastiche tra cui spagnolo e italiano. Ho frequentato il corso di formazione di base di ELE (insegnamento dello spagnolo come lingua straniera) presso l'Instituto Cervantes di Roma. I attended a basic ELE course (teaching spanish as foreign language) at the Instituto Cervantes in Rome.

Usually at the very beginning I will assess your language level, to make sure that the materials we’re going to be using during the course can actually be suitable and useful for your needs. I’m very patient and always try to create an enjoyable lesson.

Since 2009, I've been giving Italian Language and Culture courses to adults, including managers and university students. I offer courses for any level and Language Certification - like CILS, CELI and the new B1 level test for obtaining the italian citizenship - or interest whether tourism, work, study or simply a passion for the language.

I am enthusiastic in what I do and love to share little tips here and there that will compliment my students' language learning habits in general, should they be looking for advice. I will find different ways to explain a concept and understand how to energize my lessons through new material. I am very patient and determined to only offer the best to help students reach their goals, whether beginner or advanced. I offer German/English conversation lessons for all levels as well as Italian and Spanish classes for beginner-intermediate levels. Note: While I do like emphasizing conversation, I know that many students will have different preferences and learning styles. Therefore I am flexible!

I started teaching in 2011 but continuously just since 2015. In the same year I earned the DITALS 2, a certificate of teaching Italian as a foreign language, and as I strongly believe in life long learning I studied a master only the following year. I taught in Italy and abroad to students coming from the 5 continents. I am patient, empathetic, flexible and supportive.

For our lessons I’ll choose among a selection of textbooks written by professional authors. The choice will be based on many factors: your current level, your native language and its distance from the target language, your goals and learning style. If you need to reinforce some topics I’ll add extra activities to the lessons or as homework. Homework is not compulsory, but please keep in mind that learning a language is fun and effective only when both the student and the teacher put some effort into it. I’m very happy to teach students with different needs, from beginners who have never learned a second language to advanced students who are looking for serious, structured teaching.
