The best Indonesian language classes

I have been working in the education sector for 3 years and have been teaching privates since I was in university.

I value learning and knowledge sharing. This is why I would like to share my understanding and experience related to the Indonesian language and culture, and help improve your skills. In the past, I worked as a volunteer for a year as an English teacher for local students in West Java, as part of a community-development program. I have also helped fellow students in Australia learn the Indonesian language.

In 2018, I taught English to foreign learners (Indonesians). Now I teach Indonesian to foreigners. They mainly come from Germany, Netherlands, UK, and Philippines. Therefore, I’m experienced in teaching both English and Indonesian to non-native speakers.

I have been working as an English teacher for more than 5 years, teaching English as a Foreign Language to Indonesian. What can I say, it's not easy being a teacher, five years is just beginning anyway. That's why I choose as community tutor here instead of professional one :D

I am no professional teacher, but learning language is my passion. I love to observe what type of my student is before I begin the class with short introduction and short story about my student's experience in learning Indonesian (by people, apps, movie, actor, etc). I am a good listener and love to guide my student to speak more with their vocab. Limited vocab and mistakes are never being a big deal in learning languages. I encourage my student to keep trying without worrying because I'll guide you :)

I have many years experience teaching English and Indonesian to Foreigners. I am patient and willing to help you improve your listening, reading, speaking, and writing skill step by step. As I taught myself to speak English, I understand the difficulties in learning new language.

How the lesson is carried out? - Prepare self-made learning materials and material from books that meet standards for students - Distributing material to students, students can record videos while studying, give homework, and review previous material at the next meeting. - Learning not only listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills but also pronunciation and grammar. - Teach you formal, informal, slang, idiom, and colloquial language - I match my method with students' interests and the lesson material or the topic will be adjusted to the students’ needs.

I speak several other language including English, Spanish and Korean so I really understand the process of leaning second language. I understand that every student has a different need and learning pace, my class is specially tailored to your needs and preferences. Most of my students went knowing nothing about Bahasa Indonesia but "apa kabar?" and "selamat pagi" to be able to conduct, hold, and conclude a small talk and everyday conversation, ordering food, making an appointment, giving and asking direction in just less than 30 hours class.

I’m a native speaker of Indonesian language but I speak English proficiently. I’m currently teaching online, both Indonesian language and English. I'm a native speaker of Malay and Thai as I learned Arabic and English for more than 10 years so I'm fluent in all of them. Now I'm still passionate about learning new languages too, so I'm started studying some French and Spanish in my spare time. I have work experience in teaching Arabic as a part-time job when I visited my country last summer, as I had experience helping my friends and family speak better those languages too and it made me want to help you here so. I can teach you whatever your level of that language is: beginner, intermediate, or advanced.

I've had a little bit of experience teaching. When I was in high school, I volunteered as a teacher for homeless children. I have also had informal conversations with businessman from other countries around the world and I taught them about the Indonesian language and our culture. I have had some experience here on Italki now and I look forward to developing myself as a teacher. Since I majored in Business Management I would like to teach Indonesian business culture and language as well.
