I want to help you improve you Greek step by step. I want you to know something well, and then learn something new. There are N0 silly questions! Feel comfortable to ask me anything that puzzles you (grammar, vocabulary etc.) If you have time after class, I would be really happy provide you with extra material.

I always like to create a friendly atmosphere in which we can both feel comfortable. I usually conduct my lessons in Greek as much as I can, so you get used to it, but I can also use English if you like. I have developed a very flexible method, which allow me to teach to students of any level and with different goals, preferences and needs.

My approach to teaching is student oriented. I would first asses the level and likes/dislikes of the prospective student and come up with relevant material.

I can do all the things you expect a teacher to do, but I see myself as a mirror: your improvement and progress is entirely up to ~ you ~ how enthusiastic you are about the language you study ~ and your motivations. In our conversations, the environment is always a welcome one. Make mistakes. Take your time, express yourself freely. After all, most of the interaction with a tutor is never about the subject you learn, but about the connection you have and how comfortable you feel. Make decisions as to how you want the lessons to go; a teacher is a resource, so use it to your advantage.

In the last few years I had the chance to to teach the Greek language to non Greeks or to those of a Greek decent. As a result of trying to learn German, I know very well how hard it can be learning a new language. Therefore I am patient and I speak slowly for my students to understand me. I am able to teach in English or in German.

As a teacher, I believe in the individuality of each student and I understand that everyone has different learning methods. I have a cheerful personality therefore I will always welcome you with a smile! I will support you and help you learn English or Greek or both to the best of my abilities. Don't be afraid to make mistakes we all do! I have 2 years of experience in teaching English online both to adults and children. I have been also conducting private home-based lessons for almost a year. For children lessons, I use various online materials like flashcards, games, and stories. For Business English I use mostly authentic materials like business emails, company reports, and graphs

I always wanted to be a teacher, i always knew. I love transmitting people knowledge about my country, our history, our language, our literature, our civilazation ancestors. I studied Philosophy and Philology with master on Systematic Philosophy. I specialize on the right speaking, listening and writting of Greek, as in latin, history and literature.

I am a very inquiring person and teaching a language to foreign people is a great opportunity to impart Greek language, culture, and history and also to discover new cultures and different habits. I have worked as an English Second Language Tutor for the last six years after I quit my job as a journalist and a digital editor with magazines and newspapers. English and French were once foreign languages to me, so as a teacher I am in a position to understand the difficulties my students might be facing and do my best to improve their language skills.

It is very important to immerse yourself in the language you’re learning and get used to the way that natives speak. I had several friends that wanted to learn Greek too and knowing the struggles of learning a new language I was able to help them in their journey. Recently I started teaching myself Japanese and now I understand how difficult it is to read and write in a whole different script. I'm a very patient and friendly person so don't be shy. We can either have a friendly conversation about a topic you want to get familiar with, learn and practise a group of basic words and expressions for daily conversation or read Greek articles and listen to Greek songs.

I try to make my lessons fun and enjoyable. In our first lesson we will get to know each other and decide together how we want to design our lessons. We will make various exercises which will be based on your level and your skills. The lessons should match your expectations and if you like to change something or to practice some skills more specifically, we will do so. I also like to give homework, if that is fine by you.

I have been teaching Greek since 2011. I have taught children as well as adults from every background. I have a Bachelor Degree with honors in Philology and specialize in teaching people who aspire to reach fluency within a short period of time.
