I graduated from Padua University in Classics in 2013 and started working after few months in a private school in Padua as a teacher for Italian as a second language. After one year I decided to specialize in the field of teaching languages and I had a Masters in Advanced Planning for teaching Italian to foreigners. I also had a second-level DILS-PG certification and I’m a CILS and CELI examiner. I’ve been working as a contract teacher for the University for Foreigners of Perugia for 2 years. I'm currently working for them in Milan at the European Institute of Design, where I prepare Chinese-speaking students for the admission exams for design courses.

I am a very inquiring person and teaching a language to foreign people is a great opportunity to impart Greek language, culture, and history and also to discover new cultures and different habits. I got my Bachelor's Degree in Greek Philology, School of Philosophy, at University of Athens in 2006. Since then, I've been successfully teaching Modern Greek to Greek pupils of all levels. I started teaching Greek Language and History to adult foreigners in 2013 and I must say it has been a very interesting experience so far. It has always been a pleasure for me to communicate with different people from all over the world. I would also like to mention that I have participated in several seminars on Special Education, which have helped me improve myself and my teaching methods.

My name is Sophia and I'm a Greek native speaker living in Athens. I have a BA in European and Greek Civilization of the Hellenic Open Greek University of Patras. Besides modern Greek I teach and Ancient, reading, grammar and syntax. In my first degree I also took Greek Literature, Ancient History and language. I have been teaching for 20 years and English in Language Schools in my country and lived for four years in Pretoria, South Africa, an English speaking country.

I have enough experience to help you get into the ancient Greek culture and to help you learn the Greek language, which for some people is a bit complicated.
