As a teacher I am very patient, speaking slowly and carefully and checking the student’s pronunciation and understanding. I am able to think of and present new ways of explaining a particular point should the student have difficulty in understanding. I am professional in my manner and appearance and have excellent time keeping. I believe in constructive criticism and also lots of praise to give the student confidence.

I have been teaching for the last eleven years and have experience of working in a range of educational establishments. In terms of ESL, I am an Cambridge Oral examiner for their international exams ( A2-C1) and have experience of preparing students for these exams. I have extensive experience of preparing students for IELTS exams and teaching students online, particularly the speaking and writing components of the exams. Also I am an IB examiner and have taught Business Management, English B and the Theory of Knowledge.

As stated in my introduction video, I am a TEFL certified ESL English teacher. I have five years experience teaching English as a second language to people of all ages. In 2008 I enrolled on a teacher training course in Peru and I have been teaching English ever since. I am familiar with the latest TEFL techniques and I will help you learn my language whatever your level. All you need is a little dedication and perseverance! I love my job and I mostly teach adults but also children from age 9 upwards. I have a neutral, easily understood British accent, perfect for teaching English. I have a lot of patience and I am particularly proficient in teaching English to native Spanish speakers, but it really doesn't matter where you are from.

Teaching is a family profession. Afterwards, I started working very young, and have continued teaching ever since for more than 22 years. I’ve taught various groups: from kindergarten all the way up to post-graduate. A teacher should always study and continue to learn. So through my career I’ve gathered many certificates, diplomas and other documents including TOEFL Test preparation, First Certificate, Advanced Reading, Teaching by Competences, etc. Graduated with a minor in Human Resources, I’ve also studied ESL for business skills like job interviews, accounting, importing and exporting in North America, and customer service.

I understand the value of clear and concise communication in the business world, particularly when conveying complex technical subject matter. As an online educator, I’ve coached a myriad of Asian business professionals including financial and real estate investors, bankers, engineers, salespeople, data analysts, and even doctors! Students have complimented me for my passion, professionalism, attention to detail, and my ability to guide them patiently and politely. I have previously worked as an Au Pair in France, teaching both young children and teenagers English. So whether you are a complete beginner or more advanced I am happy to help in any way I can! I also help my language exchange partners with English practice on a regular basis. If you are a French speaker I am also able to explain concepts and grammar points to you in French for further clarification.

Since 2015 I have taught full time to students from 13 to 65 years of age, from basic academic skills to advanced business levels (for companies like Amazon, LinkedIn, Burger King and Walmart), and to people from all continents; always adapting to their needs. I got my certification as a foreign language teacher from the National Autonomous University of Mexico in 2019. I can switch from English to Spanish or vice versa if needed (but I generally prefer only to speak in the language I teach), and I can also support with different accents, formal expressions or slang. I have helped others presenting international certifications such as the IELTS, TOEFL and USA and Mexico citizenship.

I am a TEFL certified English teacher, and Cambridge certified IELTS teacher, and have taught English to adults for over 10 years both in classrooms and online. As a teacher, I try my best to create a friendly, welcoming space for you to learn English. I know how nerve-wracking it can be as a language learner, no matter what level you are, and so I want you to feel happy and comfortable during our lessons to make mistakes and not feel embarrassed. Making mistakes with me is the best thing you can do as I'll correct you (nicely, of course!) and help you stop making that mistake again. All of this will be done naturally as I don't want anyone to feel overwhelmed by English, particularly when speaking with me. Due to my style of teaching and personal preference, I do not teach children.

I've been teaching for more than 3 years now and believe that making my students feel comfortable, is one of my strengths. I like to make some random jokes in my classes to keep the topic interesting and really analyze how you, the student, can improve. I write down notes and am always well prepared so we can be as effective as possible. I see myself as an all-round teacher, but my focus is usually on fluency, accuracy and speaking techniques (making you sound more natural). Of course I also try to help you to learn new vocabulary (words) and idioms and can help you with any other skill or topic. Just tell me what you want to improve and I'll help you!

Class notes are provided at the end of each class so students have something to work on in their own time. I’m a Cambridge/CELTA qualified professional native English teacher with over 3 years experience in the classroom environment. I began teaching in International House Dublin which is part of the IH network spanning 52 countries with over 160 language centres. I’ve been teaching in a public school and private language centre in Hanoi since February 2019. I’ve taught General, Academic and Business English to students from all over the world. I teach Business English focusing on specific skills such as meetings, presentations, interview skills and vocabulary of Business. I’ve prepared classes and 121 students for IELTS & TOEIC exams while also tutoring postgrad students preparing theses.
