I am trilingual in English, Spanish and Catalan. I believe that practicing through conversation is the most effective way to learn a language because it allows you to interiorize the concepts better. For instance, it is always better to run than to think about running. We will practice by listening, learning new vocabulary, speaking, making mistakes and having fun. We will focus on what you specifically need, so you can get the best out of each class. The learning environment will be relaxed, friendly and comfortable, so you don't feel any pressure while practicing. I am really enthusiastic and I will make sure that If you ever get frustrated, you will regain motivation for the language.

I graduated a four year program with a B.S. in American Sign Language (ASL) interpreting. I’ve tutored ASL for about 2 years at university. It’s important for me to first get to know the expectations and goals of my students. This allows me to set up a tutoring session that is most compatible with my students leaning style and goals. I’ve taught many of my friends, colleagues and a few of my younger cousins conversational ASL. It is truly a passion of mine to help people on their language learning journey and to guide them pass the same challenges I’ve had. It’s one of the most fulfilling things I find myself doing. My goal is to help others reach their goals!

I believe the purpose of language is communication. That's why my lessons center around learning meaningful vocabulary and phrases, proper pronunciation and the learning "reasons-behind" what we say in English. What can you expect from me as your tutor? First of all, well-designed and interactive lessons that will focus on your needs. During the first session, we will identify your goals and your baseline; from there, I will develop a program for you that will help you to reach your goals. Moreover, you can expect a lot of practice between our sessions. I will be sending you a variety of exercises so that you can master your gained knowledge. You also will have immediate and objective feedback from me. I am open to communications, so if you have any questions during your homework preparation, send me a message, and I will answer it as soon as I can.

Teaching gives me a great sense of passion and I really enjoy seeing my students improve in language skills and they can use the target language to communicate with the people of other countries and learn about their cultures. I've been teaching Persian and English for about 10 years. I'm also a language learner, so I understand all the challenges of learning a second language, and I can help the students to overcome the barriers and become a fluent, confident speaker. My students know me as a patient and creative teacher.

Some people call me the most patient man in the world, and I think they're right. Although I'm still a community tutor, I'm studying to be a teacher, so I can help you with grammar, tenses, slang or anything else you would like to learn.

I really enjoy connecting with people and teaching what I know. If I have to describe myself as a teacher.. I'd say that I'm pretty easy-going, cheerful and fun to talk to. I'm very responsible and serious about what I do and I expect the same kind of commitment from my students.

When I lived in Spain for over a year, I taught one-to-one private English lessons to children, university students, and adults while attending university in Murcia. When I returned to Canada, I decided to continue teaching and make it a full-time career as I enjoyed my experience teaching English so much while living abroad. Since my return to Canada, I have been teaching English 40+ hours per week to all levels and ages. I enjoy assisting students while sharing a bit of my culture with them and hearing about theirs.

I am a qualified TEFL teacher with 3 years of online teaching experience. I have conducted thousands of online lessons with students of all ages, most of whom are from Japan and surrounding Asian countries. I have a B.A. in English for Cross-Cultural Communication with a qualification of a teacher and a master's degree in Mediation and Communication with specialization in translation studies. I've worked as a teacher in a youth center in Armenia and taught online in a Russian language school called ''Skyeng''. Now I work in HBLS, a language school in Brussels. I've worked with people of different age groups and different levels of language proficiency. I usually motivate my students and try my best to engage them in the learning process. It's a real blast for me to monitor my students' progress.
