I speak English, Spanish, Afrikaans and Xhosa, and underwent training in received British pronunciation. I have been living in South Africa for the last few years, in the morning we often see a troop of baboons passing by. I like walking my dogs, keeping abreast of current affairs, exploring cultures, cuisines, landscapes and meeting people, hence my interest in sociology and teaching English xox.

Although I've been using three languages since I was a kid, I didn't realize how difficult it is to learn a language until I decided to start learning Spanish as an adult. Learning a language as an adult made me a better teacher, someone who can truly understand my students' challenges and frustrations. I'm always learning new ways to teach, tweaking my strategies to best meet the unique needs of each learner. I understand language acquisition is a life-long process, and I always make sure to make each lesson count.

I received TEFL certification from The Boston Language Institute. The program was an in-person 120-hour program that included supervised teaching of actual ESL classes. During the course, the instructors regularly told me that I should specialize in Business English. Since leaving Boston Language Institute, I have taught at language schools, privately tutored, worked as a high school English and World Studies teacher, and I am also experienced in teaching young children online. In 2020, I also completed a 120-hour TESOL certification program.

I have been teaching for a while now and the experience has been amazing. I enjoy interacting with people from different parts of the work. Teaching gives me a chance to travel and learn about different cultures and that motivates me to be great at it.

I have worked for a total of five English schools, teaching all levels, ages and cultures, from 9 year old Italian and Spanish beginner students to 50+ year old Japanese and Russian advanced speakers. It would be my pleasure to get to know you in my class!

I have a relaxed and friendly attitude and experience teaching people of all levels. I was a teacher at an academy in Spain where students were studying for the Cambridge exams so I'm familiar with these and helped students achieve success in them. I've also taught IELTS and employees in companies, as well as offering conversational classes.

Since 2015 I have taught full time to students from 13 to 65 years of age, from basic academic skills to advanced business levels (for companies like Amazon, LinkedIn, Burger King and Walmart), and to people from all continents; always adapting to their needs. I can switch from English to Spanish or vice versa if needed (but I generally prefer only to speak in the language I teach), and I can also support with different accents, formal expressions or slang. I discovered teaching when I was 23 years old and I've been doing it for more than ten years. I've taught in Asia, the Middle East, America, and Europe. I'm in love with the process of giving myself fully to the student and to the world. I've won many teaching awards including Teacher of the Year in an American high school and I've been featured in many training videos around the world. Students love how lively I am in the classroom. My passion is contagious and it creates an electric and dynamic atmosphere. I believe that we should train the mind to go further and learning a new language is a great way to do this. I know how to get results while making the learning experience memorable.

I have a lot of experience teaching all ages, all levels and a lot of different kinds of courses. I teach General English, TOEFL, IELTS, Business English and Conversation courses. I like teaching beginners because I feel like I can help them a lot with the basics, but I also love working with advanced students because we can have a lot of interesting conversations.
