Hello! I am a native English speaker and a TEFL certified professional teacher. I have a great amount of experience teaching students with different levels of English and age groups. I make lessons according to your interests & needs.

I speak Russian and elementary Mandarin. I was raised with Russian as my native language, but I was raised in America, and that’s why I don’t have an accent. I can help you with business English, conversational English, and preparing for interviews.

My lessons would be conversation-based practices. I want to make sure conversations are fun and engaging, and that the student feels encouraged each time they speak in English. I also offer grammar lessons, where we can review any grammar, reading, or writing needs you may have.

As a teacher I would say that I am social, objective and caring. I love to make the learning process fun and enjoyable Social: I try to shape it like a social meeting where the student has opportunities to speak, question, observe, discover, grow and express. As a language-learner myself, I know that it is a journey to become fluent and to attain a high level and I most certainly choose to make it a pleasant ride! I have experience in teaching people of all age groups. I have taught online for the past year at Itutorgroup. I enjoy meeting people and interacting with people from all over the world and of all ages. Teaching someone a new language also helps me learn something new about their culture, country and many other things.

My teaching experience includes some corporate training as well as teaching Tae Kwon Do in a group setting to young and old students. I have been teaching for around four years at both secondary and English language schools in and around Brisbane city. At the English schools I taught a range of students from beginners through to IELTS preparation. I really enjoyed meeting the wide diversity of motivated students that attended these schools, and learning about their backgrounds and future plans.

Initially, with a new student, I would start off with a general conversation in order to gauge your specific needs. Once we have determined those needs, with both your and my input in the discussions I will progress to more structured lesson plans if that is what you require. My goal now is to combine my range of experience with my ability to be a compassionate, enthusiastic, intelligent teacher who will make a positive contribution to every student. I aim to give you confidence in speaking english to the best of your ability. Plenty of practice, feedback on your grammar, and pronunciation. But mostly I will try to get you to talk as much as possible.

I help medical professionals + medical students understand how terminology differs from country to country; for example “aliviarse” has a very unique meaning in Mexico, which is very different from other Spanish-speaking countries. I obtained my CELTA certification from Teaching House, New York. I'm also a trained and certified teacher in my state, New Jersey, in the USA. I've been teaching English for 5 years now. My first job was in Costa Rica. All of the classes were fun and engaging, I love to play games with my students. I currently give classes online to students from Brazil, Korea, Mexico, China, Saudi Arabia, Russia, Italy, and many other countries. I'm experienced at teaching grammar and pronunciation and I specialize in American English. I want my students to speak like a native!
